Reviews
We take our two cats to Dr. Rosenzweig. Whether he himself or his assistants, they all have an absolutely loving way with the animals. You can tell how much the animals' well-being means to him. It's a very family-run practice, and you're happy to take your little rascals there with their problems.
I was a patient of Mr. Rosenzweig's for years. I had all my rabbits treated by him. Looking back, however, I'm not satisfied. The problem is that Mr. Rosenzweig is only a rural animal practice, and even when he's ignorant of or overwhelmed by an illness, he never admits he can't make progress. Instead, he continues to treat the animal incorrectly instead of referring someone with their pet to the veterinary hospital or seeking advice. My rabbit, "Muffin," would still be alive if he hadn't ignored the symptoms and if he had immediately ordered a blood test. Instead, he's rude to you if you insist on a blood test and continues to treat the animal incorrectly. Ultimately, the disease progressed so far that even treatment by other veterinarians became impossible due to the progression of the illness and lack of time, and Muffin had to be euthanized. I used to trust Mr. Rosenzweig blindly, and that was my mistake. I was too slow to go to the veterinary hospital, and now my little darling is no longer with me because of the Encephalitozoon bacterium. His pain and the progression of the disease became so extreme that even other veterinarians had no chance of fighting it. Mr. Rosenzweig's response to me was always, "The rabbit doesn't have encephalitozoon because it's not showing the torticollis symptom." Mr. Rosenzweig even yelled at me and said, "Then the rabbit will just have to die, so what?" Every veterinarian in the early stages of a disease is taught that a disease doesn't always have to present all the typical textbook symptoms, which is why, among other things, blood tests are done to be sure. But he was too arrogant and lazy for that. He doesn't have to pay for the treatment; the client has to pay, and if the client insists on it for extra peace of mind, you don't refuse such a test. Better to test too often than too little. Better to treat too often than too little. Generally, I have a tip for all pet owners: if you're not immediately sure, get a second opinion from a veterinary clinic as soon as possible. Otherwise, it could be too late, and you'll lose your best friend too soon. Unfortunately, I had to take the hardest route and have my little darling put to sleep. It was no longer possible. This illness, with its severe and frequent epileptic seizures, had completely worn my little one down, and all because they insisted on a wrong diagnosis. No one can know everything, so if you're unsure, you should refer the patient elsewhere. That shows true class—class that Mr. Rosenzweig lacks. At the same time, Mr. Rosenzweig gave my budgie, "Penguin," the wrong antibiotic, which made my budgie even sicker. He then died two weeks later, after Muffin, from megabacteria (macrorhabdiosis). No one can know everything, so if you're unsure, you should refer the patient elsewhere. That shows true class—class that Mr. Rosenzweig lacks. Mr. Rosenzweig may once have been a good veterinarian, but his expertise and passion for the profession have diminished considerably, resulting in the loss of beloved pets, who are like family members, to death. I advise everyone to stay away from this veterinarian and consult specialists, even if it's a bit more expensive. Ultimately, every pet deserves the best and most professional treatment. My trust in Mr. Rosenzweig is completely shattered after these incidents, and my heart is broken by the devastating losses. What Mr. Rosenzweig is doing is utterly incompetent and borders on animal cruelty. The other veterinarians couldn't do much either, as the illnesses were already too advanced in both cases. In memory: My beloved sweet Muffin, I will always carry you in my heart ❤️ and never forget you. 🌟 April 1, 2019 🪦 December 1, 2025 My handsome and sweet penguin, I will never forget you and will always carry you in my heart ❤️. 🌟 March 2014 🪦 December 18, 2025
