Dr. Spick is a competent veterinarian who makes accurate diagnoses and provides excellent treatment. This alone justifies five stars. We have several animals and can always confidently turn to Dr. Spick, no matter the time of day or night. He has saved several animals from a painful death. In short: we highly recommend Dr. Spick.

Dr. Spick saved my dog's life; without his expert intervention, I wouldn't have my dog anymore. She had eaten rat poison, and I was able to see Dr. Spick on both Saturdays and Sundays. I could reach him anytime and ask questions; he took my concerns seriously. A kind and highly competent veterinarian whom I can wholeheartedly recommend. He also vaccinated our puppies without any adverse effects or after-effects. I am very satisfied with this veterinarian and will continue to take my dog to him.

Incompetent! Unacceptable! Irresponsible! If it were possible, we wouldn't give this place a single star! This vet lures customers with low prices, and the service you receive is correspondingly poor. We took our dog, Lenny, to Dr. Spick to have him neutered. There was no preliminary examination; the dog wasn't thoroughly examined or weighed. The anesthesia was administered arbitrarily. Dr. Spick estimated Lenny's weight at 20-21 kilos, when, as we discovered the next day, he actually weighs 26.5 kilos. The anesthetic had to be redosed twice, and the dog lay on the floor convulsing and yelping. Only after I asked Dr. Spick to come to the dog did he wait with us in the waiting room until Lenny was finally fully under anesthesia. The neutering procedure itself took fifteen minutes, and then Dr. Spick gave Lenny the sedative to get him up. This means the dog was only under anesthesia for 15 minutes before receiving another dose of counteracting medication. Lenny was unwell all day and started bleeding the next morning, so we took him to a different veterinarian who then referred us to the Bielefeld Animal Clinic. There, he was given a sedative, the wound was examined and treated, and we also received a neck brace that finally fit (the one I had received from Dr. Spick was much too small). At the follow-up appointment with the vet, we also received proper pain medication and an antibiotic. The tablets Dr. Spick gave us were immunosuppressant and thus actually hindered the healing process. This morning, six days after the surgery, we had to go back to the animal clinic because the accumulated blood was leaking from his scrotum. We will never go to that "doctor" again. We'd rather pay a few euros more and have our dog well cared for. I strongly advise everyone against taking their pet to this vet.

We took our male dog here for neutering. Dr. Spick did it in a way that the dog didn't have to wear that silly Elizabethan collar. He used a special method for that. Everything went well. We were also given tablets for aftercare. After two weeks, it was all forgotten and the dog is doing great. I've also had my female dog treated by him, and my parents have taken their animals to Dr. Spick. It's all a bit simpler and more rustic, but he knows what he's doing. 😉

We've been clients of Mr. Spick's with our animals for a long time. He has successfully neutered our two cats and our dog without any problems, and both animals are doing well.
