Yesterday was my last visit to this veterinary practice. We had an appointment at noon for an x-ray and castration of our dog, as he'd been limping for several weeks, which the vet was aware of. We arrived half an hour early and waited outside, observing how many patients, including some with animals, went in and out without them. She tried to cancel this appointment again, claiming it was an emergency, and I explained that I had taken time off work specifically for this. I was disappointed. Instead of offering me a new, but this time sooner, appointment, she became incredibly nasty, saying she didn't care which animal died that day, and then my dog ​​was given the anesthetic injection. In the afternoon, when I came to pick him up, she blamed me for the death of the cat that had been brought in that morning as an emergency, claiming I hadn't declined the appointment and that she couldn't possibly take care of everything since she was working alone. I had to really restrain myself to remain calm. Honestly: If I, as a vet, get an emergency in the morning, it has absolute priority, right? Do I then have to see everyone else until the end of office hours at noon? And do I take on multiple animals then? As I said, two women left the practice without their pets before us, and that wasn't an emergency. I told her that straight to her face, to which she simply replied that I should find another vet. Well, I'm happy to oblige. I feel incredibly sorry for the family who lost their pet, but given what happened before—and I have a witness to this—I'm not taking the blame. But it's so easy to shift the blame onto others. This woman/practice is definitely not recommended.

Even though the practice is old and Dr. [Name] sometimes seems a bit odd, she's the best for me. No matter what the issue, she never forced any unnecessary procedures on me, only what was important. She's incredibly kind to the animals, tells it like it is, and I appreciate that. I've even been able to drop in without an appointment. I would take all my animals to her.

A highly competent veterinarian who truly prioritizes the animals' well-being. She works very directly and honestly and doesn't try to push anything unnecessary, which I personally appreciate. You get clear answers and good, professional advice. Even though she can sometimes seem a bit brusque, you can tell she has a lot of experience and knows exactly what she's doing. I was very satisfied and feel my pet is in good hands there. 🐾⭐

It's been a while, but I'm still grateful to this day that I met this vet. So professional, so sensible, so helpful—simply open to everything with her. You can talk to her about anything, and her pricing is also very, very fair. I can recommend her to everyone. I've never experienced anything like this vet in Hamm. Everything about her is simply perfect. I'd give her 10 stars if I could—the best in North Rhine-Westphalia! I wish Ms. Gümmer good health and strength. I also wish her family all the best.
