We are very happy with this veterinary practice! 🐾 The team is extremely competent and handles the animals with great care. You can immediately tell that the animals' well-being is their top priority. All the staff are always friendly and helpful. We especially appreciate that you can drop by very spontaneously in an emergency and receive prompt assistance. The practice itself is also very welcoming and pleasantly designed. Thank you so much for the excellent care – we feel our dog Lilo is in the best hands here! 😊

After reading some reviews here that I find incomprehensible, both in terms of content and the many likes on the negative reviews, I'd like to share our experience with the Ostermann veterinary practice. To summarize: Despite our emotional distress and the resulting vulnerability in this situation, we were never pressured to buy or sell us unnecessary products before or after the treatment, as is often the case with other veterinary clinics in the area. Dr. Ostermann was empathetic and always prioritized our beloved pet's well-being. A longer version for those interested: Two weeks ago, on a Friday evening, we took our cat, who had lost her appetite, to Dr. Ostermann. Unfortunately, his initial suspicion was confirmed after an examination and ultrasound. Unlike our experiences at other veterinary clinics and with other veterinarians, Dr. Ostermann was honest and empathetic from the outset, explaining the consequences of the diagnosis and outlining the chances of success for any treatment options for our cat's survival. His focus was on our cat's quality of life and freedom from pain. The news of a beloved pet's impending death couldn't have been delivered better than he did. He took a lot of time, answered all our questions, and explained diagnostic procedures in relation to their therapeutic effect. He offered us palliative care until the end of the pain-free phase, to help us prepare for saying goodbye. Even then, he always prioritized the animal's well-being. We were asked to call on Saturday, Monday, and the following days to monitor her progress and confirm her pain relief. Unfortunately, our cat's condition deteriorated rapidly, and she had a seizure on Thursday evening. After a phone call to the practice, Dr. Ostermann euthanized her at 7 p.m. Even during this final phase (after hours), everyone involved acted with great competence and empathy. We were never pressured to rush anything, either before or after the euthanasia. We thank Dr. Ostermann. Thank you to Mr. Ostermann and his team for your support during this very difficult time. We will gladly return with our cat – hopefully in a less dramatic situation – and have found a new veterinarian we trust in Hamm.
