Reviews
Dr. Patrick O. Bolz is my third veterinarian. I've been extremely satisfied with him after two previous visits. At the first appointment, Bella received her microchip and hepatitis vaccinations, and was lovingly cared for. I want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful treatment and the way he handled Bella. See you in three weeks!
It still breaks my heart when I think about how my cat was treated there, even though it was 10 years ago. My husband took our cat to Dr. Bolz's office because he suddenly couldn't walk properly anymore. The assistant gave the poor animal an IV drip, thinking it was kidney failure. When I got home from work late that evening, the cat was screaming in pain. I immediately called Dr. Bolz because he was on emergency duty, and he came to us pretty quickly. He examined our Pauli briefly and then determined that he had a thrombosis in his hind legs and that it was too late to treat the cat, so he would have to put him down. He asked me to lift the poor cat and put him up on his feet, which I did because I had trusted him as a doctor until then. Our cat screamed and fell over. "You see, he can't stand anymore," said Dr. Bolz. I was deeply shocked and tried to calm the cat down. He then put him down. Totally lacking in empathy. To torture the cat unnecessarily and then make me do it and become part of the torture. A totally traumatic experience. Our poor Pauli. 😞
I moved to Britz with my two-year-old Papillon this fall, and today was our first visit to the veterinary practice for his vaccinations. My dog started to relax in the waiting room and even went curiously into the examination room. I found Ms. Winkler and Mr. Bolz to be exceptionally pleasant and kind. They gave me a thorough explanation, and my dog didn't even seem to notice the vaccination. We will definitely go there from now on. I highly recommend this practice.
