We had to visit the vet on Saturday. Our dog didn't want to come home from our vacation. We panicked. The team at the practice, especially Dr. Redöhl, took wonderful care of us.

I have only good things to say. From the receptionist to the vet, Dr. Redöhl, everyone was very kind and friendly. Dr. Redöhl thoroughly examined and treated our rabbit. The next day, Sunday, we had to go back to the emergency vet. There, too, our rabbit received excellent care. In the end, it survived, for which we are very grateful. Thank you to the team and especially to Dr. Redöhl.

Being offered an appointment to euthanize my sick, old (18) dog five days later is outrageous. I could have come without an appointment, but then there would have been a wait, and I know from experience how long those waits can be. It can easily take two to three hours, during which I sit in the waiting area with my dog who is to be euthanized. I was told on the phone that I could take him for a walk or wait with him in the car. It doesn't get more unsympathetic than that. I then contacted a competent, kind, and calm vet near Riesebusch who handled my painful situation with great empathy.

🚹 Incomprehensible obstruction and lack of empathy – Two hours wasted. My wife and I have been long-time clients. Our cat suffers from diabetes and an acute urinary tract infection. Since visits are extremely stressful for her, we wanted to consult with the vet by phone, which was refused ("The animal needs to be seen"). Important: The procedure of coming in briefly for a consultation without our pet due to the acute situation had already been discussed with the treating veterinarian. We then arrived at the practice at 9:20 a.m. After a two-hour wait, we had to leave without seeing the vet. The assistant gave us the same obstructive response again. It is absolutely incomprehensible that long-time clients whose pet is seriously ill are given no opportunity for a brief consultation – especially when the procedure had been agreed upon. We wanted to spare our cat unnecessary stress but were treated like supplicants. Very disappointing.

Rabbit owners – beware! Outdated methods! I was taken to this veterinary practice during the emergency service. My rabbit wasn't eating, and one of its teeth had grown too long. WITHOUT anesthesia, sedation, painkillers, or anything similar, they simply clipped the tooth off while inserting a pair of pliers into its mouth (according to my regular vet, this could have broken its jaw, so we were lucky). My rabbit clearly suffered. Yes, it did eat again afterward, BUT this has led to further dental problems that could now cost my rabbit its life. It's been proven that clipping teeth in rabbits can very likely cause further problems such as inflammation, malocclusion, and abscesses. What they use there, at least for rabbits, is outdated medicine. If you love your rabbits, don't go there. Not even for the emergency service. Go to a different state instead. Protect your animals. I'd love to take legal action... --------------------- Update March 2, 2026 I actually had to have my rabbit euthanized. The attempted treatment was unsuccessful.
