Reviews
A very friendly and competent veterinarian. Moderate, fair prices. Excellent. She doesn't try to sell you unnecessary or superfluous procedures. She always has the animal's well-being in mind (not her profits). I've been completely satisfied for several years. Top-notch. There's nothing negative to say. And I have an outdoor cat who very often came back with injuries. Another vet in the area is much more expensive in comparison. He tries to manipulate you, saying things like: "If you love your pet, then you need this and that (unnecessary) examination..." That quickly adds up. But Ms. Matzen is absolutely fair in this regard. Excellent.
I've been a patient of Dr. Matzen for a long time, back then with two dogs, now with one, and I'm very satisfied with her knowledge, treatment, suggestions, and friendly, empathetic manner. The team is also great, especially long-time employee Ms. Wolf. The practice is simply furnished, but the expertise is superb! 🐕💕
Fantastic veterinarian! I take my two cats and my dog to her. There have never been any complications or anything like that; we've always received excellent advice and treatment. A few years ago, I was an intern with Dr. Matzen, and that's why I can say I can completely entrust my own animals to her care.
We had our cat spayed on Tuesday, and today we spent the whole day at the veterinary clinic. We learned that the spaying procedure has caused trauma, heart problems, and fluid in her lungs. We only paid €900 to keep her stable. Further treatments will cost up to €5,000. This was impossible for us to afford, and there was no guarantee she would recover. She meant everything to us; we don't know when we'll be able to laugh again. She was perfectly healthy before the spaying. Today we left her in the care of the animal shelter. We can only hope and pray that she will get better. We are so angry and sad right now. No pet owner should have to go through something like this.
We've been patients of Dr. Matzen with our second dog since 2009. The practice is superbly organized, the team is friendly and competent, there are no waiting times, and there's even an outdoor waiting area. Dr. Matzen is professional, pragmatic, empathetic, and always has the animal's best interests at heart. Her consultations are exceptionally competent and up-to-date. Minor surgeries are performed in the practice; for more extensive procedures, she refers you to a clinic and provides guidance. When we had to say goodbye to our first dog after 13 years, she was incredibly supportive and made it possible for him to pass away peacefully at home. We highly recommend her.
