We were here yesterday with our guinea pig. I don't know the vet's name, but I think she's the head vet. She's an excellent vet, very friendly. I especially liked how she explained everything and how gently she handled the animal. We did have to wait quite a while, but we didn't have an appointment and there were a lot of people there. I went there for the first time with my rabbit, who was barely eating and hardly moving, after a recommendation. Even on the phone, they advised me to see a veterinarian specializing in small animals—they even gave me the name of a practice, but also offered me a short-notice appointment for the same day. I accepted the appointment, not wanting to waste any time. The vet, Ms. Windisch, examined my rabbit and even managed to take an X-ray. At another practice, they were already using the scruff hold for examinations and administering medication, which, while practical, is not advisable for a fully grown animal in my opinion. Sedation would have been necessary for the X-ray. The vet and her assistant were able to restrain my rabbit completely without this hold and administer medication—absolutely exemplary. However, due to an "abnormality" on the X-ray, Ms. Windisch still recommended a visit to a specialist. The upshot: My beloved rabbit has been doing much better ever since. This practice is now my rabbit's new "family doctor," especially since I know they don't just try things out randomly, but refer rabbits to specialists when in doubt—just like with us humans. The verdict: a full 5 stars! A fantastic, clean practice with very friendly, competent staff, and—at least in my (emergency) case—they were able to get an appointment at short notice. It seemed like Hasi wasn't just another patient, but had also won the hearts of the ladies ;) That gives me a very good feeling.
