My two cats have been patients here for about two years. Currently, my male cat unfortunately needs to come in very often. But at every appointment, we are greeted by warm and competent staff. There's never any rush during treatment, not even late in the evening. The examinations are always carried out very gently and calmly. This also helps my cats to be less panicky. My male cat has recovered well from his stroke. And we are in excellent hands here for his other health issues as well. The practice is very modern, and the range of treatments is very diverse. For over 20 years, we have been going to the Schöbel veterinary practice. Our dogs and cats were always well cared for there. Thank you for that. But now an AI answers the phone. Unfortunately, there's no chance of speaking to a staff member. Since our dog wasn't feeling well, we contacted another veterinarian and were immediately asked to come in. The 3 stars are for the consistently good treatment, but now we unfortunately have to switch practices because being reachable by phone should be a given. We only received a call back 2 hours after our initial attempt to call.

We would like to sincerely thank the veterinary team for the excellent care. A special thank you to the veterinarian, Ms. Ewald, who lovingly treated our cat Lucky. She didn't have an easy time with him, as he was always very scared. Without the nursing staff having to restrain Lucky, an examination would have been impossible. Our Lucky had to be put down on October 21, 2025, as he was absolutely powerless. This happened in a very calm and very loving atmosphere. He lived to be just over 16 years old. We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank Ms. Ewald and her hard-working assistant. Lucky was able to find some peace and quiet. He was lovingly placed in his transport box. This was our first time at the practice with our dog. We were referred by our regular vet because our dog has a problem with his left eye. I must say, Dr. Ewald is a very kind and highly competent veterinarian. You feel comfortable and well-advised. She treated my dog ​​with great care and affection. The team is also fantastic; they take your concerns seriously. The medication is working very well, and the improvement is clearly visible. Hello dear team at the Small Animal Clinic am Schmelzbach in Wilkau-Haßlau! I've been to the veterinary clinic several times with my little 6-year-old Maltese, Elli. Twice, Mr. Schöbel and his team have saved Elli's life! This year, Elli suffered a cruciate ligament tear and problems with her kneecap. Mr. Schöbel and his team operated on her. He put my mind at ease, and thanks to his expertise, Elli can now walk, jump, and be happy again on all four legs. At the veterinary clinic, everyone is always welcomed with understanding (no matter when you arrive). All the staff, starting at reception, are friendly, and you immediately sense that they are trying to do everything they can to help both the animals and their worried owners.
