Reviews
I'm very happy to have found this veterinarian. He is very kind, competent, thorough, and absolutely fair in his advice and explanations. He avoids potentially less promising treatments in order to keep the already low costs as low as possible for the benefit of the patient. I've also received helpful advice over the phone (free of charge), which saved me a trip to the practice. I've always been able to get an appointment quickly, experienced hardly any waiting time, and the entire practice team is super friendly; I highly recommend them.
Both we as clients and our cat were treated very poorly. The doctor handled the cat (a blind animal that had come to us) so roughly that it hid from us for a week and refused to eat.
A really great practice. The doctor and the nurse are very nice and caring.
I had an emergency after my cat ate a lily. I called the vet on the emergency number, and he didn't take it seriously at all. Lilies are highly poisonous to cats and can be fatal within a few days due to kidney failure, as we've learned. I was met with responses like, "So what am I supposed to do now?" and "The internet will tell you what to do." No questions about weight, quantity, or time. He said he hadn't had many cases involving lilies before. Even so, surely he's learned what to do and what constitutes an emergency. He offered to administer an antihistamine, which, of course, is completely useless in the case of poisoning—a fact confirmed to me over the phone by the animal rescue service and the Rostock veterinary clinic. There, I was taken seriously, and they provided me with the best possible immediate care.
Our animals (dogs) have all been treated at least once by the doctor and even operated on and neither the animals nor we as owners have ever had anything to complain about. Dr. Lüttkemöller is open and honest as it should be and that is exactly how his receptionist works, keep it up 👍🏻
