Pferdeklinik Bockhorn

This was the second time we weren't really helped. The first time, we received a misdiagnosis and got our money back. The second time, recently, we had to call the emergency room at 5 a.m. The vet didn't want to come. We were told to wait until 8 a.m. After insisting, she finally came. After the diagnosis, we were given a bunch of medications, but the necessary referral to a veterinary clinic never arrived. Valuable time was lost! When we then went to a different clinic, we were able to save the life of the foal, born at night, just at the very last moment. The "Bockhorner" veterinarians are not recommended.

What a fantastic practice team! For years, they were always there for me with advice, support, and heartfelt compassion, always putting profit first. Now, however, I had to take my little one on her final journey. My deepest gratitude goes out to the entire team. Despite my profound grief, they handled the process with such incredible compassion and heartfelt understanding. She was able to cross the Rainbow Bridge with dignity. I thank the whole team again from the bottom of my heart. Keep up the amazing work!

A super friendly and competent team. I'm so grateful that Ms. Pokar took on my pony (a Coldblood-Norwegian mix), despite knowing she's very particular about injections, etc. But the team somehow managed it and survived unscathed 🤪. For that alone, I have the utmost admiration and endless thanks. The girls also helped us load the pony very calmly, patiently, and competently until she was finally on board after about half an hour. The explanations about the examination, diagnoses, and treatment were very clear and detailed. I highly recommend them.

Best equine clinic in the region! At least if you have an animal that doesn't require transport to Bargteheide. I'm always satisfied with their mobile vet service as well. While their prices aren't quite as competitive as my usual vet, I don't get the feeling that unnecessary services are being pushed on me (unfortunately, I experienced that at another clinic in the area!). Friendly veterinarians, some with decades of experience, simply bring more expertise than clinics staffed almost entirely by beginners. Furthermore, the clinic grounds are tidy and welcoming.

It's a shame, I was a satisfied customer here for a long time, and I especially appreciated Dr. Röhwer, who provided excellent support during my horse's serious illness, and Ms. Herrschaft, whom I always found to be competent and friendly. After a completely unsatisfactory dental treatment of my Norwegian Fjord Horse by another veterinarian, and a bitter argument about it while my horse was suffering from a severe colic (for which I had called her in as an emergency), my trust is completely gone, and I will be looking elsewhere.
