Pferdeklinik Sottrum West

Once again, I was at the Sottrum West Equine Clinic with my horse, Arya. She only stayed one night for a bronchoscopy and eye examination. After the examinations, Dr. Paar explained everything in detail and thoroughly outlined the next steps. I'm very attached to my horse and am so glad to have found such a competent and empathetic clinic. Thank you to Dr. Paar and the wonderful team!

Besides the beautiful, well-maintained facilities, the excellent, friendly communication makes you feel especially well cared for. You receive a very warm welcome, are shown to your waiting area, and even during the examinations, you feel comfortable. They take their time and explain everything thoroughly; I've experienced things differently elsewhere, so I wanted to emphasize that 😊 Fortunately, we've never had an emergency there, and we've only heard good things from acquaintances (including one with colic).

For years, I've gone to Sottrum West in emergency situations and when we're unsure what to do next. The friendly team and Dr. Paar's expertise have always helped us. Yesterday, I was there with my Baroque Pinto mare. Everything went perfectly again. Wishing her a speedy recovery. Thank you all.

I took my gelding there as an emergency case due to stomach problems. I felt very well cared for; everyone was very friendly, the medical background was explained to me in detail with plenty of time, and even weeks later, all my follow-up questions were patiently answered over the phone. The treatment was successful, and after implementing all the feeding and husbandry tips, my gelding has no more problems. Thank you!
