Reviews
The world's best veterinarian with heart and mind! We've been taking our dogs to Katja Taubhorn for over 10 years and have only had the best experiences. She consistently provides competent and experienced advice and support in all situations our four-legged friends face. A huge thank you to Katja and her team!
I was there with my puppy for the first time today and I'm absolutely thrilled. So much warmth, calm, and empathy – you immediately feel well cared for. Thank you for the wonderful service! 🐾
Dr. Taubhorn's incredible willingness to help, even though we aren't (yet) clients, prompted me to leave a review. My dog ate a piece of poppy seed cake last week, and I called our usual veterinary practice to ask if we should induce vomiting. They told me it wasn't necessary and not a big deal. Since poppy seeds are poisonous for dogs, I was skeptical and called other veterinary practices, but didn't get any real help. I then called the animal hospital, and they told me that poppy seeds are definitely poisonous for dogs and that inducing vomiting would have been the right thing to do, but it was too late now. They told me to dissolve 24 activated charcoal tablets in water for my 6kg dog and administer them by mouth. Since that's hardly possible with my fidgety dog, I looked for help nearby to avoid wasting time driving an hour to the animal hospital. And that's where I found Dr. Taubhorn. I contacted Dr. Taubhorn, who was in Berlin at a seminar at the time but still had time to listen. She gave me the very helpful tip of mixing the charcoal water with my dog's favorite food. And my dog actually ate the entire pitch-black substance with her food. I found this helpfulness simply amazing, and it shows that the animal's well-being is still a top priority here, because, as I said, we hadn't been patients of hers before. She even called the next day to check on my dog. Thankfully, she was doing well and had come through everything without any problems. Such a helpful veterinarian is a true asset to our community, and I am very grateful to her for that 🤗.
