My little Chantal didn't make it. I took her to the practice on Tuesday and was called in very quickly. I have a bantam hen with a cloacal prolapse. The little ball of feathers was taken care of very quickly, a blighted egg was removed, and some stitches or tightening were done on the cloaca. I was explained exactly how something like this could happen, given medication, and asked to call again on Thursday morning. Exactly at the moment I wanted to call, Chantal didn't make it. But she laid an egg beforehand. Her final act. Of course, I called the practice anyway and let them know. They were very empathetic and expressed their sympathy. Even though Chantal didn't make it, I was and am very satisfied with the practice. They did their best. Thank you for reading.
Ms. Pollack was recommended to me because of my bird. My lovebird had egg-laying problems twice within four months. The eggs were so large that they could only be removed surgically (both under general anesthesia/the surgeries were complicated). With such a small bird, there's obviously no guarantee that it will survive. Ms. Pollack saved my little one's life twice. I was happy to accept the one-hour drive there and one-hour return. And even if the little one hadn't made it, I'm grateful. Ms. Pollack's work is so passionate, dedicated, and expert. If I could give her 10 stars, I would do it immediately. THANK YOU, Ms. POLLACK :)
Unfortunately, there's still no option to give zero stars. On Saturday, I had to speak with a very unfriendly and rather impatient woman because my daughter found an injured woodpecker. She seemed to find my call annoying; I have no idea what I was bothering her about, but she came across as very condescending throughout the entire call. She laughed at me when I asked questions about information that was already on her own website, and she kept going on about how expensive it would be for me. She said that if I was willing to drive an hour to the vet's office for an injured woodpecker, then I was also willing to pay around €1000 for treatment. After this statement, she suddenly seemed interested, but unfortunately, my interest had already waned, and I was already googling other emergency vet clinics during the call. It's truly sad when it seems that only the money, and not the injured animal, is what matters. Sorry again for daring to bother you on a Saturday afternoon, but then PLEASE don't offer an emergency service or find another job where empathy and friendliness on the customer phone aren't absolutely necessary. 🤷♀️ Thank you.
A highly recommended vet for the smallest animals (gerbils). I called the practice as an "emergency" and was immediately greeted with a friendly "Come in right away." I was seen promptly without an appointment, and the vet examined my little one carefully and patiently. The entire experience was incredibly kind and caring. I will definitely be bringing my little ones back in the future! 👍🏼
I would give Ms. Pollack all the stars in the world, which is why I switched to this practice. Unfortunately, Ms. Pollack doesn't offer emergency services, so the phone call ends up with a very unpleasant vet who seems to have absolutely no desire to work on emergency duty and loudly declares on the phone that she doesn't know the case and wouldn't treat it. You spend thousands of euros at the practice, and when you need help at an inconvenient time, you don't get any! It's strange that another emergency service was able to act immediately, even without knowing the dog. A no-go for me; then you should only offer emergency services for YOUR patients and not for everyone!
