Reviews
At first, I was speechless at how good the veterinarian is and how dedicated she is to her pets. Ms. T.A. Domurath supports, both in practical and emotional matters, wherever she can, and wants to place as little stress on the animal as possible. Unfortunately, I had a negative, hurtful experience with another vet from a different practice, so Ms. Domurath is a completely different world, a better one. I kept silent about my pet's treatment so that it could get better, which thankfully was the case, but the pain was still felt at the previous practice. Thank God I was able to meet her and her colleagues/assistants.
We've been going to Dr. Domurath and her team with our pets – our pet rats and our dog – for years and are always completely satisfied! The entire team is incredibly friendly, cheerful, animal-loving, and helpful. Both on the phone and in person, you're always greeted warmly and cared for. The practice is very well organized, the atmosphere is harmonious, and they even take the time for a brief chat while you wait at the reception desk for your bill. When patients arrive, the team is delighted to see their little noses and treats them with great care – whether they're rats or dogs. ❤️ Dr. Domurath is very competent, animal-loving, and compassionate – you can tell that the welfare of the animals is her top priority. When our pet rat (🤎🪽) wasn't feeling well, she gave us honest but also sensitive advice: She recommended that we let him go to spare him further suffering and showed incredible compassion in that moment. We were able to say our goodbyes in peace and were given some time to ourselves. We've been to several veterinarians, but none were as humane and understanding as she was. This was our first visit, and since then, we've only been going to Dr. Domurath. Scheduling and organizing appointments is done via the PetsXL app, and it's super convenient: You can book appointments, view invoices and medications, and access weight history and appointment reminders. If you prefer, you can also get medication dispensed on a traditional slip of paper. With an appointment, there's hardly any waiting time, and the practice is always clean and well-maintained. There are a customer restroom, a dog scale, and parking: three spaces directly on site and more on the street. Communication is always straightforward, open, and honest. We always feel very well looked after and can confidently leave our pets in caring hands. 🐭🐶 We can 100% recommend the practice, and to the team: huge praise and a heartfelt thank you! ❤️
We had an emergency with our cat, and I contacted Dr. Domurath by phone for the emergency service. I was told that she didn't know if she could do anything at all and that we should go directly to the animal hospital. She wouldn't be at her practice at that time, either! Our cat was in such bad shape, he was almost suffocating. We had to drive him to the hospital, where he was sadly euthanized. If you don't enjoy your job, Dr. Domurath, you shouldn't be doing it. An emergency means an emergency, and you need to act quickly, not just send him away. Unacceptable behavior. How can you be like that? Absolutely unacceptable for a veterinarian. I'd give her minus 10 stars if I could.
I was already dissatisfied with my cat's neutering experience because the vet told me he wouldn't lick the wound and didn't give me a protective collar. For the price, that would have been the bare minimum. I came home and he was constantly licking himself. I didn't want to go back to that vet because I didn't want to be without him. Luckily, nothing bad happened. But on my last visit with my cat, they only gave her something for a stomach bug because she'd been vomiting for two days and hadn't eaten. We were out of there in 10 minutes, but afterwards we had to go to the animal hospital and have our little cat put down. Never again! I wouldn't recommend them! The reviews here are too good.
I spent almost 17 years with my beloved dog. The last few months were incredibly difficult. Eventually, he couldn't get up anymore. That was the moment I had to be honest. I called my veterinary clinic in tears. They told me no one was coming. I was to bring my dog to the clinic for euthanasia. Even after much pleading on my part, they only offered me the option of either 10:15 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. I took the 10:15 a.m. appointment. I waited there with my dog for over an hour! He knew exactly where he was and soiled himself, terrified. It broke my heart. I gave my dog my all for 17 years, especially in his last months. His distressed end shook me to my core. It's been three months now. I will never forget what happened. I'm also often stressed at work due to staff shortages. But something like that shouldn't happen. It wasn't pleasant either when another veterinarian came into the room and said, "My goodness, he's leaking!" I was standing in front of my dead dog, who had been with me for 17 years, and I had to justify why he had severe kidney disease. No, that's unacceptable. I know it might be routine for the veterinarians. But for heaven's sake, not for the owners. The veterinary assistants were very kind and understanding. They should be paid more!
