Been visiting Dr Szober since early 2024 with Gandalf my cat. Gandalf has long term chronic upper respiratory disease. Gandalf had breathing difficulties, and congested nose, and much mucus. He was not eating due to lack of smell. We visited various clinics who wanted to refer us for expensive dental and lung xray diagnostics (Dr Szober was able to do a visual clinic dental inspection to rule out dental, gum disorder, and importantly no need for sedating a cat with breathing problems). Dr Szober, took mucus and blood samples for lab analysis. diagnosis was streptococcus canis, which he treated with antibiotic. Also provided a skin absorbing drug to invoke appetite. Gandalf has improved drastically in 3 months and is almost normal. However, last week Gandalf had a repeat congested nose, mucus and not eating for 3 days (we fed via syringe direct into mouth) Today, Monday morning, my wife telephoned the clinic and we were invited to bring Gandalf in 1 hour later. Dr Szober assessed Gandalf, for a repeat session of antibiotic, and a drug to assist breathing. Checked weight (improved on last visit), and listened to heart - ok Good record keeping between visits and Dr Szober quickly can assess the full history and progress. We are very happy with the clinic, Dr Szober, and the friendly assistants. Earlier veterinary experience in Munich had been to very young veterinary graduates who rely on very expensive diagnostic machines. We felt they wanted to over-use expensive diagnostics, putting the cat at sedation risk and stress. Some did not have the hands-on skills to deal with a 'feisty' or angry cat and perform mouth inspections. Dr Szober and team are fine. Dr Szober, gives us the experience I am used to with previous v eterinary experience in the UK and Spain. Visual clinical inspections, stethoscopes, thermometers , weight monitoring, alongside blood, sample analysis, without the stress of expensive over-diagnostics. Perfect English speaking staff Would highly recommend
Dr. Szober and his colleagues are very friendly. They are very patient with the pets as well as the owners. Dr. Szober takes time to answer each questions you may have regarding to your pets health. We are very happy to have him as our cats doctor :)
I am really happy with Dr. Szober services. We got an appointment the same week we requested and we didn't have to wait long, the visit went smoothly and the price was honest. Our dog stayed calm for the whole visit. Furthermore Dr. Szober is fluent in English and Polish, which helped us to better communicate.
Highly recommend! It is stressful to find a good vet after moving to a new country while trying to learn the local language. Dr. Szober is fluent in multiple languages including English and has taken excellent care of our 14 year old dog! We are so lucky to have him in the neighborhood.
We had a great experience with Dr. Christoph Szober and his team. From the moment we walked in, everyone was friendly, polite, and genuinely welcoming. Dr. Szober is extremely knowledgeable and guided us clearly and confidently through our cat’s rabies vaccination process, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. What really stood out to us was how calm our cat was during the visit. Anyone with a cat knows that’s not a coincidence, it’s a clear sign that Dr. Szober is very experienced and comfortable handling animals. After some not so great veterinary experiences since moving to Germany, we were honestly relieved to finally find a clinic we trust. For expats especially, this place is a huge win: the entire staff speaks English, so communication is effortless. Highly recommended.
