I don't even know where to begin because I'm still so bewildered. Our dog had a seizure yesterday at 6:50 pm (which turned out to be very severe). I called the vet clinic with my half-dead dog in my arms and tearfully begged them to wait another 10 minutes, as it would take us 15 minutes to get there. The woman then said, completely without empathy, "NO, but there won't be anyone there then... you have to go to Sattled, but you can't just show up, you have to make an appointment!" That was by far the worst thing I've ever experienced in all my years... We then rushed to a local vet and called her from home. Without hesitation, she administered first aid and treated our beloved dog. She herself said it was an absolute disgrace and that our dog would probably have died on the long journey without help. 'No, but there won't be anyone there... ' ... Of course, I can't comment on the veterinarian's competence... but whoever the lady on the phone was would probably be better suited to a government office where humanity and empathy aren't required – simply awful.
