Even though nothing more could be done for our cat, we were accompanied with great love and expertise during her final journey. Many thanks to the wonderful veterinarian and her equally wonderful staff!

Ms. Schlüter and her team are exactly what an animal needs to feel relaxed at the vet. Our dog Jock absolutely loves Ms. Schlüter and the entire team. He's incredibly proud of himself for cooperatively managing even examinations and treatments that normally require anesthesia. 🤩

Excellent care from the very beginning. We are not patients of the practice and had an emergency visit to Dr. A. Schlüter's office on a public holiday. My dog ​​had bloody diarrhea. We were informed in a friendly and helpful manner over the phone. The treatment in the practice was excellent. Everything was explained clearly. I would go back to the practice again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!

Dr. Schlüter is a leading expert in her field, very empathetic and reassuring. Whether for routine checkups or, as in our case, saying goodbye, anyone with a pet looking for a good, if not the best, veterinarian will be in excellent hands here. A warm welcome and, thanks to the staff who organize everything so well, there's hardly any waiting time, and the appropriate medication is always readily available. This review isn't directed at Dr. Schlüter, but at the unempathetic woman on the phone. I'm absolutely furious and, because of what happened today, I will definitely be changing vets. My ferret has been very ill since Thursday, and I've been taking her to a ferret specialist clinic (a 45-minute drive away). Over the weekend, her condition deteriorated so drastically that she simply had to be euthanized. This morning, I called Dr. Schlüter in tears, explained the situation, and asked if they could take over, as I didn't want to subject my dying ferret to such a long drive, nor was I able to travel that far. I was then told that I was too infrequent for them to fit me in! Infrequent? After having been a patient there for a long time with my dog, who was treated for arthritis there, including surgery costing several thousand euros, for cancer, and even having my ferrets boarded there – to be treated like this in such an emergency is appalling and inhumane. I didn't realize you had to have a regular stream of illnesses to receive help in a truly urgent situation. I am absolutely disappointed and furious and will never set foot in that practice again, even though I find it a shame because Dr. Schlüter is a wonderful doctor. Addendum to the response I received: Well, they've certainly twisted things around! I was literally told: "Ms. Volf, I'm sorry, but you're only there sporadically, so I have to send you elsewhere!" It wasn't just a simple observation unrelated to my cancellation, but rather the very reason why I was sent elsewhere! And even if it had just been a statement, it would have been unnecessary and inappropriate in such a moment. After I asked again, it was clearly stated once more that there was no time for that. Only then did I hang up. There was also no second attempt to offer to do it after work... the second call was from me, simply to make it absolutely clear that it's completely unacceptable to be treated like this in such a moment, especially since I'm definitely not a sporadic customer... I'm really wondering if you need to be regularly ill to be considered a valuable customer in their practice?! Furthermore, the statement is completely contradictory: I'm too sporadic for them to make time for me in an emergency, but then again, I'm so important that they supposedly wanted to offer me an appointment during their free time? - very paradoxical. Without such disrespectful behavior, I certainly would never have become so angry about the whole thing and would have calmly and gratefully accepted an offer after work. Ultimately, I had to go to a vet I didn't know at all, one I'd never even been to before. The staff there recognized the emergency and handled it far more sensitively than the woman here. So, I'll leave it at that, no matter how anyone tries to weasel their way out of it. And I want to emphasize once again that this review was directed solely at the woman on the phone. Ms. Schlüter would very likely never have learned of the misconduct without my review and is therefore completely blameless.
