Modern practice with extensive expertise and its own laboratory. Family-run business in its second generation. Very loving treatment of animals, very empathetic handling of pet owners in every situation. I have nothing negative to report.
Today was my puppy's first appointment. He has a microchip that allows his body temperature to be measured easily without having to insert a rectal thermometer. When I pointed this out, I was told that the practice doesn't have a device to read the thermometer?!? (Cost: from €70). And this isn't standard equipment in a modern practice? So, the puppy was unnecessarily treated rectally during his first appointment, which I wanted to make as positive an experience as possible. Furthermore, the entire procedure wasn't very attentive to the animal; it felt rather rushed. I could barely give the dog positive reinforcement because the vet tech simply grabbed him and held him down. Without consulting with me beforehand. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience for the puppy. And I'm very annoyed that I didn't intervene. It's a real shame – this could have been done better! I'll be going elsewhere in the future…
