Unfortunately, we ultimately had a very bad experience with Ms. Dingendorf! Reason and facts: It starts with the lack of punctuality. Even if you finally manage to get an appointment there, you still have to expect considerable waiting times! Emergencies are completely out of place there. Since we live in the same town, we were happy to take our dogs to the local veterinary practice. But unfortunately, we have now discovered that this trust led to the premature death of our beloved Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Conan. Specifically, our "cuddly bear" had been suffering from shortness of breath for several months and often vomited white mucus. Ms. Dingendorf's multiple examinations only revealed findings like "heart and lungs OK" – he's simply too overweight! We have been feeding him a raw diet since he was one year old... In fact, there have been virtually no changes to his diet. Nevertheless, my wife only fed the dog very lean meat recently, because Ms. Dingendorf literally suggested that we would eventually kill our dog that way.... On May 26, 2026, my wife went to the Dingendorf clinic again because our Pyrenean Mountain Dog was experiencing shortness of breath and vomiting again..... The diagnosis was that everything was fine, and as a precaution, the dog was given an allergy tablet.....That was ultimately his death sentence!!! On the way home (about 500 meters), the large dog collapsed and vomited profusely! A call to the clinic only revealed that Ms. Dingendorf was no longer there and couldn't be reached by cell phone either?!?!? From her mother, who lives on the same street as us, we learned that there was a funeral scheduled for the same day... (Can you actually be late to a funeral?!?) Too late, however, was the help of the two veterinary assistants who helped my wife and me load our nearly unconscious, 70kg dog into the car... None of the local veterinarians came to us... only the statement on the phone, "You have to bring the animal in." The veterinarians at the animal hospital in Mayen could only confirm the death of our beloved dog on the X-ray table! The X-rays then revealed why our dog had to suffocate so miserably. A large spleen tumor was visible and apparently caused the failure of other organs... Had it been detected early, it would have been operable, according to the veterinarians in Mayen... However, Ms. Dingendorf neither recommended nor ordered such examinations. I also doubt whether her medical competence is even sufficient for this! I can only recommend that your helpful staff find another job, because such unempathetic behavior from a veterinarian should not set a precedent... As they say: hindsight is always 20/20! In that spirit, I recommend that every pet owner carefully consider whom they trust!

Absolutely not recommended, completely lacking in empathy... If you're lucky, you might even get blamed when your pet is being euthanized. I'd say she's in the wrong profession. A person like that shouldn't be allowed to practice. Well, in the end, we'll all have to answer for it, and I wouldn't want to face the consequences if I were her. I have rarely met someone who cares so deeply about animal welfare as the staff at Dingendorf Veterinary Practice. They not only take their time but also pay very close attention, always putting the animal first. They are incredibly thorough in their examinations and always try to find the best possible solution for the animal. Their explanations are very detailed, and their communication is always open and honest. The prices are more than fair! We are so glad that we stumbled upon this practice by chance many years ago and are incredibly grateful and reassured, because we know that no matter what happens, our animals are in the best hands there!
