We have been clients for several years and have always received excellent advice, from hedgehogs to dogs. We were impressed by their friendly and competent approach, as well as their treatment options (medical and homeopathic). The practice team is very helpful and friendly. A little tip: you're always on the safe side by contacting them by phone. I would recommend the practice to anyone.

A heartless veterinarian I can only advise against using! Today I wanted to go to Dr. Lüdtke's practice, but unfortunately, I wasn't aware that she was on vacation. Anyway, I found her in the courtyard after she watched me for about five minutes from my car as I awkwardly got my cat carrier off my bicycle. Apparently, other people have helped her with that ;-) My cat was howling and crying in the carrier, which was impossible to miss. Dr. Lüdtke informed me, somewhat reservedly, that the practice was still on vacation and that she probably wouldn't have the appropriate medication anyway... (I've never heard of such a thing). I offered to pay an emergency fee if she would be willing to give my cat ONE injection of antibiotics (it's for a urinary tract infection). She politely declined this offer, adding with a wink that the practice would be open again from tomorrow morning. She also gave me the location of the nearest veterinary clinic (about 3 km away, and I was cycling, but pushing my bike!). As a long-time pet owner, I've never experienced anything like this. I, along with all my acquaintances and friends, will be avoiding this practice in the future. You should too, if you care about your pet. I was moved to tears when they turned me away. It wasn't an emergency, but some assistance would have been appreciated. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. F. Rupp on Gießener Straße. He is available even outside of his office hours and is always helpful.

We've had only positive experiences with this practice, with thorough diagnosis and treatment, both conventional and homeopathic. Above all, the warm and caring nature of the entire practice team makes you and your pet feel well cared for, even during difficult times.

Very competent treatment for the animal's well-being. The owner can easily be offended if criticized.

Too much homeopathy when proper medicine was needed. Often, the underlying problem wasn't recognized, and some pseudo-medicinal substances were prescribed that didn't help. Certain conditions were overlooked due to excessive reliance on homeopathy. The dog's teeth weren't properly treated. The vet didn't want to use light anesthesia and applied a paste to his gums, supposedly to improve the situation. He was drunk for three days. The vet tried to scrape off plaque with fingernails. The result was bad. Teeth had to be extracted later, and my dog smelled terrible. That's much more harmful. He's since had his teeth properly treated twice by a different vet, and that worked much better. Teeth need to be healthy to prevent secondary illnesses. My dog came to me as an adult and won't let me brush his teeth. Anesthesia is light and, if administered correctly, usually goes well. Without it, the treatment is torture, and light sedation is legally required. Etc. Scraping with fingernails is not good. It can also promote gum inflammation. Furthermore, the scraped-off plaque immediately grew back, and the bad smell remained. Stuffed full of treats even though I didn't want him to all the time. My dog has many intolerances. Still, they were stuffed into his mouth. The claim that it wouldn't do any harm would have been a different story. I shouldn't let him wear a flea collar in winter. He has a flea saliva allergy. He got fleas. She gave me black cumin to add to his food, supposedly as a preventative measure. Despite that, he still got fleas. But it was never detected. I was there so often because of the itching. They readily administer light sedation for blood draws there. Elsewhere, it's always done without. Very convinced of their own method. I then went somewhere else. And there, everything was resolved.
