I recently went there with my dog... I'd never been there before... but it was urgent, and my now former vet couldn't offer me an appointment until the following evening. On the recommendation of a dear colleague, I called, and we were able to come in immediately. Actually, it would have already closed before we arrived by public transport, but they waited for us.
