Very competent and incredibly friendly service to both owner and animal. Special praise for Dr. Büschel... I visited the practice on June 12th, and my 12-year-old dog received immediate help. Our cat was hit by a car in October. When we called this veterinary practice, we were turned away and referred to an animal hospital. No first aid, no pain medication, and no initial examination—just an injured animal in pain. Thanks for nothing, and so much for animal welfare. A veterinary practice that acts like this in an emergency is absolutely not recommended.

Even one star is too much. Almost a week after the death of my beloved cat, I finally have the energy to share my experience with this veterinary practice. I went to the practice about seven weeks ago because I noticed that my cat's belly had suddenly become very swollen. A vet diagnosed him as simply being overweight and saying he should lose weight. He was weighed and examined, but not x-rayed because he was too difficult to handle. On the Wednesday before Easter, I went back again, this time with an appointment for an x-ray under sedation. I received a call informing me that there was fluid in his abdomen. When I asked if it was a lot of fluid, I was told no, it was mostly fat. The fluid was drained, and blood was drawn for further diagnostics. When we arrived at the practice to pick him up, I spoke with Dr. Breymann himself. He stated that his entire abdomen was full of pus. We would have to wait for the results, which, due to Easter, wouldn't be available for almost a week. He said he wouldn't see anything on the ultrasound. We were given painkillers with a mild anti-inflammatory effect, and that was it. I couldn't let it go, so on Thursday I went to the veterinary clinic in Gera. They immediately sedated him and did an ultrasound. They also suspected pus and were quite surprised that we hadn't been given antibiotics or referred to a veterinary hospital. His condition was already life-threatening at that point. Unfortunately, Gera couldn't operate, so we went to Leipzig. After extensive diagnostics, they couldn't help him. If they hadn't made such a fuss about the sedation seven weeks earlier, they would have noticed something was wrong that day. At that time, he had no other symptoms, just the swollen belly! In Gera and Leipzig, they sedated, x-rayed, and did ultrasounds during regular office hours. But with Dr. Breymann, you need a separate appointment outside of regular hours for that. The funny thing is, I paid less in Gera for more service than at this practice. I advise anyone who loves their pet against entering this practice. I personally will never go there again. Even a veterinarian is only human, but this was the third misdiagnosis, and the last one cost a life...

I have been a patient of Dr. Breymann for many years, and he is a truly excellent veterinarian. He treated my first poodle, who had a heart condition, for many years, and now that I am a breeder, he treats my animals very well, conscientiously and professionally. He is highly recommended because you know your animals are in good, expert veterinary hands, and his team is always friendly.
