Reviews
Great practice team and doctor! Highly recommended, not overpriced yet, and above all, excellent surgery! Thanks, Ahrensfelder Colliebande!
A really great, nice vet! The rest of the staff is also very friendly 😊 My pet was operated on quickly even though I didn't have an appointment. All my questions were answered, and the wait was absolutely reasonable and not very long at all!! Highly recommended.
They're good at writing invoices, nothing more. I'm never going to that vet again. She got upset that I brought too much stool for the sample and that the container was too big. She did give me tubes, but I'd already used them because I had to take my pet to a clinic for various stool tests. I picked up my cat from there because he has FIP and they couldn't help him there. They told me to collect stool over several days because they hadn't been able to perform a certain parasite test yet. Since stool varies a lot throughout the day, I took a sample of each type. Over four days, that naturally resulted in a sample about the size of a thumb. That's when the vet got upset. I also had the GS medication with me. FIP has been curable since 2018, but this vet has apparently skipped every continuing education course in recent years. She didn't even know what GS was! She also refused to help me give my very weak animal a capsule because she was afraid of being bitten. Unbelievable. Ever heard of bite-proof gloves? Apparently not, since she didn't even know what the treatment was. She suggested I consider having the animal euthanized. I showed her before-and-after pictures from my FIP Facebook group, of animals that had fully recovered. She just said I'd gotten that information from somewhere on the internet and that doesn't mean it works. But she herself doesn't know about this treatment method, which has been around for seven years. How can someone not be aware that a disease that was fatal for over 40 years is suddenly curable? The IV line she inserted so I could give an infusion at home fell out after just five minutes. So the sedation was completely unnecessary and the animal became even weaker. Perhaps she can't be held responsible for that, but I will never go to that vet again. Furthermore: I paid by card on my very first visit. The next visit was billed. They added €1.60 to the last card payment. They said this would incur fees for the practice, which they then passed on to the customers. I looked into it, and it's not legal. Why should I pay your fees? I don't see why I should, so you won't be getting the €1.60 from me.
A very nice veterinarian. We took our dog there, who was unfortunately ill. She was very empathetic, which is exactly what you want and need in such a situation when your pet isn't feeling well. The vet gave us the time we needed to say goodbye, and most importantly, she went through every step with us before and during the appointment. Highly recommended, even though it wasn't a happy occasion. We also took our first dog there, and the vet supported us through that difficult time as well. Whenever you've brought your pet to her, whether by appointment or not, everyone there has been very kind, helpful, and friendly.
We can highly recommend this veterinary practice. We had our dog operated on there. From the examination and consultation to the surgery itself, the emergency service, the follow-up appointment, and the suture removal, everything was excellent. We felt very well cared for. What I appreciated most was the loving way our dog was treated. We will definitely continue to take our dog there for treatment. They also provided us with competent help for another issue our dog has. Many thanks to Dr. Brand's veterinary practice.
