Super
Yesterday we had to have our sick dog put down, a very difficult experience for us. The vet came to the car and was immediately very curt and unfriendly. We had imagined our beloved pet's final journey would be more compassionate and include a few comforting words. We were sad and deeply disappointed by how things went. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this service.
One star is still too much for this practice. We visited this practice shortly after New Year's as a substitute, and our initial impression from seven years ago, when we were also there as a substitute, was confirmed once again – simply catastrophic. We were sent home with our dying dog "because the vet was on break." We had called the practice shortly beforehand and were told to come in. Then, suddenly, we were told to come back at a later time. The arrogance of these statements and the accompanying, shameful posture (leaning against the doorframe) was unparalleled. Empathy was completely lacking in both the vet and the receptionist. I wouldn't even go back to this practice if it were the only one in the area! In my opinion, this woman is completely unsuited for this profession if she doesn't possess even a shred of empathy for animals or people, but only has money in her eyes.
We took our cat to the vet because of an injured paw. The vet assumed it was a simple injury and gave us some tablets and painkillers. After about two weeks, the problem resurfaced, so we went back to the vet. This time, we saw a different vet. She was very unfriendly and greeted us condescendingly. She showed no compassion for the cat, had a sneer, and was sitting comfortably in her sandals, which she kept playing with. The first thing she did was give her an injection without even considering the symptoms. We had to point out the injuries to the vet, who didn't even recognize them and confused a "healthy" paw with the injured one. The end result was more tablets and another vet visit a week later. Two days later, we found our cat dying, without any prior warning. I am very disappointed in the vet.
My dog was diagnosed with canine malaria. Even though the veterinary practice in Zarrentin was already closed, they waited for us so my dog could receive the life-saving injection. It truly saved her life, and all without any extra charge. All the staff are competent and friendly, not just in difficult situations. A huge thank you to everyone.
