All the doctors and other staff I've met at Dr. Kasten's practice, as well as him personally, are incredibly friendly and helpful. Dr. Kasten is very competent. He always treated our Eddi wonderfully. I wouldn't want to be without this practice.

After finding a very badly injured neighbor's cat, we put it in a basket and immediately rushed to the vet. It was a Friday afternoon; there was no veterinarian on-site in Stralsund. We then contacted Mr. Kasten via the emergency number and drove to Hohendorf. Initially a bit disconcerted by Mr. Kasten's "gruff" manner, we received very good and quick help. The severely injured cat was x-rayed and, unfortunately, had to be put down. Looking back, we were very impressed by Mr. Kasten and his colleagues there. They work hand in hand and very efficiently. Thank you very much from us.

On October 25, 2025, we visited Dr. Kasten and his colleagues about our Cane Corso, Ella. After a short wait, we were in the examination room. The vet greeted Ella very warmly, including lots of cuddles. They listened to our concerns and then examined her with the seriousness one hopes for. After the X-ray, they acted immediately and operated on Ella. A huge thank you to everyone involved in the examination and surgery... You were all fantastic and so friendly! And all this on a Saturday after work... Thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

A typical rural doctor's practice. Dr. Kasten is very competent and gets straight to the point. Friendly consultation and reasonable costs. Highly recommended.

We would like to sincerely thank the entire team at Kasten Veterinary Practice for their help and support in caring for our Mogli. It was only through their competent and professional treatment that we were able to enjoy many more wonderful moments with our dog. It is a blessing that such veterinarians and such dedicated staff still exist. The animal's well-being was always their top priority. We are incredibly grateful.
