During my dog training, I had the opportunity to observe Elfi's work as an intern – and I can say firsthand how much I admire her both personally and professionally. She loves animals and practices her profession with complete passion. Whether it's hamsters, dogs, cats, or wild animals – she fights for each and every one. Through her strong commitment to animal welfare, she also has extensive experience in dealing with difficult cases, be it feral cats or traumatized dogs. For me, Elfi is a dying breed because she is a veterinarian with heart and soul. It was a wonderful and educational time, and I would recommend Elfi again and again without reservation!
I have rarely seen such an incompetent veterinarian; the animal's well-being doesn't seem to be a priority in this practice. Furthermore, Ms. Kannengießer is extremely rude and unfriendly. Not recommended.
I was optimistic about my cat's first two vet visits. I had a good impression of the communication with both people and animals. However, I'm unsure whether it's standard practice for additional examinations, such as X-rays, to be carried out beyond what was agreed upon when you drop off your pet and are then surprised at the checkout. Furthermore, it's been almost a week since the X-rays were taken, and I still haven't received the images as agreed. I've pointed this out twice. The second time, I was told it must be a problem with my inbox. I suggested I take photos of the images myself, but I haven't received any response for a day now. Due to growing mistrust regarding the next steps (I was supposed to take my cat back there, and they couldn't give me any indication of the costs), I consulted another vet for a second opinion. This vet also requested the X-rays and hadn't received them. I don't want to rule out technical problems, but the communication needs to be significantly better. Ultimately, I don't feel comfortable there and wonder if animal welfare is their top priority.
Ms. Kannengießer is a truly wonderful veterinarian with incredible empathy for animals and patience for nervous owners 🫶🏼. She takes the time the animal needs to avoid further stressing it, and that alone is invaluable in my eyes. I'm so glad I can take my two cats to Ms. Kannengießer for treatment. A veterinarian like her is hard to find these days; she truly prioritizes the animal and supports the owner. 🫶🏼
