Tierarztpraxis Hauff

Samy Junior, our Golden Retriever, has already been through quite a lot at almost seven years old. This includes visits to the vet. However, Samy considers Doc "Adriano," as Samy calls him, to be one of his friends. His competence and remarkably calm demeanor always bring a smile to Samy's face, and he especially enjoys the treat at the end of the examination. We, Mumi and his owner, are always pleasantly surprised too... There are some great vets out there after all.

Many thanks to our veterinarian, Mr. Hauff! A few days ago, our dachshund developed symptoms that were frightening for us late at night (9 p.m.). In desperation, we called our veterinarian. He wasn't on emergency duty! After explaining our problem, we were able to come to the practice immediately. He was waiting for us and treated our dachshund immediately. After a thorough examination and treatment, we left the practice reassured and grateful. For us, he is a veterinarian with a great deal of understanding and a big heart for animals. Authenticity - Empathy - Commitment These are the first terms that I learned about Dipl. vet.'s veterinary practice. Med. Hauff comes to mind. At first glance, Mr. Hauff may appear to some people to be unappealing and ill-tempered, BUT don't be fooled! Right from the start he is highly concentrated and focused on the patient and the problem. The owner receives comprehensive advice from Mr. Hauff in parallel / during and after maximally differentiated and highly qualified diagnostics. When asked, he shares his personal opinion and how he would act if it were his animal WITHOUT imposing himself and the opinion. I would now like to specifically say why I am so grateful to the veterinary practice Dipl. vet. med. Having found Hauff and why I really enjoy driving 28km (one way): My cat Findus (*01.11.21) suddenly turned yellow, with inconspicuous behavior and a normal appetite. During the introduction, Mr. Hauff took a lot of time, listened calmly and patiently, asked questions and was very gentle with the little cat. He immediately had a diagnostic suspicion, which was unfortunately confirmed by a blood test: severe hepatitis. The following day, after a telephone consultation, Mr. Hauff called me in AFTER the actual consultation to find the cause in peace (i.e. without patients still waiting) using X-rays and ultrasound (all possible in his practice). From this point on, Findus became an intensive care patient. Mr. Hauff didn't give up hope, but he didn't promise miracles either. He consulted closely with the laboratory doctor during the treatment and always made sure whether the treatment was generally appropriate or whether the animal suffering was too great. Particularly worth mentioning: During this time, Mr. Hauff was ALONE in the practice, his employee (patient reception, support with examinations, administrative matters) was sick, AND STILL: no rush, peace and time for everyone who came! (and I have experienced many because I spent a lot of time (around 1.5 hours per infusion) in the practice) Anyone who still thinks bad things and says “He did everything just for the money, he earned a lot from the woman with the hangover” NO! What I paid was what was prescribed in the billing catalog! Nothing additional - but I would have understood that, because I called Mr. Hauff more than once during his consultation hours when I was back home with Findus - there was never an extra consultation fee charged. I'm sure: many other doctors back in February would have either sent me to a veterinary clinic and left me there to fate or even recommended that I be euthanized (because it was unclear for a very long time. WHY did he suddenly have this hepatitis so acutely) There are not enough words (and you can tell by the length of this review) to describe how GRATEFUL I am and how much I can recommend the Dipl. vet veterinary practice to everyone with their animal roommate. med. Hauff to choose! Every kilometer of travel is worth it!

Yesterday was my first time seeing Dr. Hauff with my cat. Before that, I went to my previous vet, who barely examined my cat and more or less dismissed me with a diagnosis of throat inflammation. Dr. Hauff, however, took his time. My cat underwent a thorough examination, and ultimately, fluid in his lungs was diagnosed. Today, a complete blood count was done, and now it's a waiting game. For the first time, I feel truly well cared for. Dr. Hauff listens, explains everything carefully, shows you the X-rays, and every move is precise and efficient. I'm incredibly happy to have found this vet. The two assistants are also wonderful and very empathetic. A fantastic team and highly recommended! Thank you for everything so far.

By my dog's side for 10 years!! I drop everything and always drive from Hamburg to Dr. Hauff for the optimal treatment of my dog. I feel very well looked after as her owner! THANK YOU!
