This practice is truly the best; I've been to quite a few in my life. They were always there immediately and always found a solution to the problem whenever I needed them. They always knew how to handle my dog, because she was always terrified at the vet. I have 100% trust in them, which isn't something you can say everywhere, and they cared for my Scally with love and dignity until the very end. The physiotherapy there was also fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend this practice. I would never go anywhere else.

We found Ms. Hertz and her team on a Saturday due to an emergency with our dog, Mali—what incredible luck that was! ✨🍀✨🍀✨️🍀✨️🍀✨️ From the very first second, everything was exactly as you could wish for in an emergency situation, and indeed, in any situation at all. The reception and assistant team is incredibly empathetic and understanding, and the treatment rooms are beautifully, brightly, and welcomingly designed, so you immediately feel comfortable. ✨❤️✨ Ms. Hertz herself is simply a ray of sunshine ☀️ Warm, cheerful, and deeply empathetic ✨❤️✨ What touched us deeply: Since we had to wait a moment in the treatment room, I sat on the floor with Mali. ... When Ms. Hertz came in, she immediately sat down on the floor with us and examined and treated Mali right there ❤️🍀❤️ This gesture was so incredibly kind, approachable, and empathetic – we've never experienced anything like it ✨❤️✨ On top of that, she's extremely thorough medically and takes all the time needed!! ✨❤️✨ For us, there's no other place to go ✨❤️✨❤️✨ Thank you so much, dear Ms. Hertz ♥️ Thank you so much, wonderful Hertz team ♥️ for this sensational care! 🐾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐾

I took my toy poodle to Dr. Hertz's veterinary practice several times after he escaped from the garden and ate manure in a field. Shortly afterward, he barely ate, had no bowel movements for days, or at most, no normal bowel movements, was very lethargic, hid, and was sometimes barely responsive. At Dr. Hertz's practice, he underwent multiple examinations and x-rays. They said his intestines were slightly thicker than normal, but otherwise, nothing unusual was visible. Gastritis was suspected. My dog received various medications, including Novalgin, Amoxicillin, Emeprid, and Vetgastril, and later several IV infusions. Despite this, his condition continued to deteriorate. Since the practice couldn't make any progress, I was referred to the Horrem/Bergheim veterinary clinic. There, a comprehensive ultrasound was performed, which also showed no abnormalities. Although I repeatedly and explicitly pointed out that my dog had eaten manure, hadn't defecated for days, wasn't eating, was very lethargic, and was barely responsive at times, he only received deworming tablets and mirtazapine. Only after I insisted on an enema at Dr. Hertz's practice did my dog finally defecate. The stool looked very unusual to me. I called the practice and offered to bring in a stool sample. However, I was told a photo would suffice. Shortly afterward, I received confirmation that the visual examination was unremarkable. The next morning, my dog was almost unresponsive and had white foam around his muzzle. Despite this, the stool sample was again not examined. Instead, I was sent back to the clinic. There, further tests were performed, and I was ultimately even recommended an MRI with anesthesia and a lumbar puncture for approximately €2,500, even though the previous blood tests were normal. I then sought a second opinion from Dr. Istemi. She immediately examined the stool, found blood and severe inflammation, and treated my dog right away. After just one injection, my dog was significantly better and is now completely healthy again. In total, I spent almost €1,500 on examinations and medications without the actual cause being identified. With Dr. Istemi, I paid just under €100, and my dog received immediate help. I am very disappointed that my concerns and concerns were not taken seriously for days, and I unfortunately cannot recommend Dr. Hertz's practice or the Horrem clinic.
