Our dog Wilma vomited blood at 2:30 in the morning. At the same time, she had watery, bloody diarrhea. We called the emergency veterinary service in Schleswig-Holstein and were told by the computer that "no on-call practice can be found within a 90 km radius," at which point the phone was hung up. That really scared us. Luckily, we found Ms. Bahr-van Gemmert's mobile number on her website. It was worth a try. It rang barely twice before she answered, at 2:30 in the morning. A few minutes later, despite a hand injury herself, she quickly, competently, and empathetically cared for our dog at her practice and gave us the appropriate medication right away. The next morning, Wilma was already feeling much better. We are so grateful to Ms. Bahr-van Gemmert for not hesitating for a second to help us and would recommend her without reservation.

Not your typical veterinary practice. It's located next to the animal shelter, the vet is a bit rough around the edges but very friendly and helpful. I was able to get an appointment within two hours of calling her. Overall, highly recommended in an emergency.

Our dog injured his paw on the ferry and tore out a claw. The vet helped immediately and without hesitation. She was not only highly competent but also incredibly friendly and empathetic.
