We had an emergency situation, but my dog, although not a patient, was seen and treated immediately. The advice was excellent and highly professional, and the animal was treated with loving care. Our family and our dog Goscha are incredibly grateful for your help.

Our experience with this veterinarian was deeply disappointing during one of the most difficult times of our lives. Our 40 kg dog suddenly began dying during the emergency call at night. At that point, we didn't realize that these were already the last hours of her life. We repeatedly described the symptoms to the veterinarian and urgently asked for help. Instead, we were repeatedly told that they don't make house calls. We explained several times that our dog could no longer stand and that, due to her condition and weight, we had no way of transporting her to the clinic. Nevertheless, they insisted that we had to come to the clinic. We were told that before euthanasia, examinations such as X-rays, ultrasound, and blood tests would have to be performed. When our dog's condition deteriorated dramatically, she was already defecating, had no strength left, and was clearly suffering greatly, we called again—by then completely desperate and in tears. Only then were we informed that a house call was possible. However, the veterinarian would first have to go to the clinic to gather supplies and wouldn't be able to reach us for at least another 40 minutes – even though we live in the same town as the clinic. We couldn't understand why so much time should pass in such an emergency. What was particularly upsetting was her final statement that while she could come, the animal would likely have already died by then, and therefore she didn't really need to come. We had to watch our dog suffer until her very last breath. At a moment when we longed for compassion, support, and swift assistance, we felt abandoned. This experience has deeply hurt us and will stay with us for a long time. In our opinion, the seriousness of the situation was not adequately considered. Especially in an emergency setting, we would have expected the animal's well-being and the prevention of unnecessary suffering to be the top priority.

The veterinary practice in Lauenau is simply fantastic. All the staff, including Dr. Pohl (I always saw her), are incredibly friendly and accommodating. They truly prioritize the well-being of your pet. They are always there for you and take their time. Five stars are definitely not enough. A thousand thanks to the veterinary practice!
