Tierarztpraxis Nina Wolf

We are so happy to have found our veterinarian in Nina Wolf. She is simply wonderful, both professionally and personally, for both animal and owner :) We can only speak positively about the practice and are incredibly grateful that she has brought so much improvement to our Labrador after years of suffering. Even in urgent cases, quick responses and appointments are possible.

We are deeply disappointed and, based on our recent experience, can no longer recommend this practice. For years, we trusted Ms. Wolf with our two dogs. We drove 60 kilometers each way for every appointment, paid every bill immediately, and for a long time felt our animals were in good hands. This trust has now completely vanished. About ten weeks ago, our large male dog had a comprehensive blood test due to an infection. When we requested a full blood panel, we were initially told that a blood test had already been performed last year and that, from the practice's perspective, another comprehensive examination wasn't really necessary. The blood test was ultimately performed anyway at our explicit request. The results showed anemia, hypothyroidism, and elevated inflammation markers. Our dog was then given appropriate medication. We repeatedly expressed our concern that there might be another, more serious underlying cause for his symptoms and specifically requested an ultrasound examination. The practice did not deem this necessary. We were told that based on the available test results, no tumor was expected and therefore an ultrasound examination seemed unnecessary. Since we couldn't find a clear explanation for our dog's condition, we sought a second veterinary opinion. This revealed a splenic tumor measuring approximately 12 x 12 cm. Our dog now needs surgery. The conversation following this diagnosis was particularly distressing for us. In this situation, we would have appreciated compassion, empathy, and genuine interest in our dog's future health. Instead, we got the impression that the immediate focus was on the question of potential responsibility. We were informed that, from the practice's perspective, no mistakes had been made and that no reimbursement would be offered. However, we hadn't asked for reimbursement at that point. We would have preferred a discussion about our dog's condition and the upcoming surgery. With our second dog, we also experienced that, in our opinion, his symptoms were not adequately investigated initially. His unusual pain response in his paw was initially dismissed as ticklishness. Only after consulting another veterinarian was a treatable cause identified. Unfortunately, we've had the impression for some time now that the situation at the practice has changed. Appointments often seemed very short, the patient volume appeared high, and we increasingly felt that less time was available for thorough, individualized diagnostics. What troubles us most is not that differing assessments or potential misdiagnosis can occur. Mistakes can happen anywhere. What we missed, however, was a self-critical examination of the course of events and empathy for pet owners who have just learned that their beloved dog is suffering from a serious illness. For us, the trust is completely gone. In our opinion, one star is unfortunately still too generous.

Since switching to Nina Wolf's veterinary practice, we know how much a truly good veterinarian matters. For her, the animals' well-being is always the top priority. She is very empathetic, takes her time, and always strives to find the best possible treatment. You simply feel well cared for. We are especially grateful for the time when our Lilli was seriously ill. We could always rely on her and received support and helpful information over the phone whenever we had questions. This helped us immensely during that time. The fact that she was with our Lilli until the very end means so much to us. You rarely find such a dedicated and caring practice. Thank you so much for everything.

Nina Wolf has been our veterinarian for nine years now. She is competent, empathetic, and very kind to our dogs. She's always there for them, even in emergencies. She's the kind of vet every pet owner dreams of. For the past year, she's had her own new practice and a second veterinarian on board. Ms. Schröter is also very competent and loving towards the animals, as is the entire practice team. We highly recommend this practice.

Thanks to the successful surgery (which addressed several issues), our dog Chipsy is doing great again. He's regained his quality of life and is almost back to his old self. Many, many thanks! We highly recommend Nina Wolf's veterinary practice. The team is also very friendly 😊.
