Word of advice: Never bring your pet to a vet if euthanasia could be on the table; first get an unconditional assurence that nothing is going to be done against your will. - Modern medical science both in humans and pets offers a substantial variety of remedies even for those terminally ill. Except in extreme outliers, in pets euthanasia is default only for those too uneducated or lazy, i.e. those who don't want to bear costs and efforts of care work. In contrast to that, symptom-oriented treatment offers everything a pet hypothetically could ask for. Now this trigger-happy vet is going to have none of it: Pentobarbital for everything she considers unworthy of living, which if you disagree she's going to enforce anyway. During interactions it becomes obvious that she's got an weirdly humanising approach where she cannot handle the basic facts of life: serious ailing cannot be allowed to exist, putting the pet down is 'cleaner'. She has neither an idea of, nor interest in palliative care, even though that ignorance costs her a lot of money that those willing to avoid the convenient shortcut of euthanasia are willing to pay. When factually challenged she's unable to explain her point in a science-based matter-of-fact way, her overall communication style is authoritarian and borderline intrusive. Your unpleasant visit at her ordination is going to be crowned by images of her almost smooching with dogs and rows of packages containing torn-off rabbit ears Frankenstein-style for sale as dog toys in the waiting area. Again this humanising morbidity. In summary: a decent fit for a butcher, as vet professional: unreal.
I don’t understand the negative comments here, even if we ever moved to a different country she would still be our vet. This is definitely not a vet who’s looking to just earn on someone, if she knows someone who’d be better than her for certain situations she’ll send you to the vet who’s specializing in that certain field. She’s always there for us in case of an emergency, we just called her in the middle of the night and she super nicely told us what to do and what steps to take which was very helpful and calming. The way she treats our dog is loving and kind which is definitely not always the case with other vets. Number one vet choice in Austria, and I’m not saying this from one time visit, we’re with her for about 6-7 years already and even after moving further away we’re still always driving to her.
The best. Very loving towards our dog. A vet who actually cares and not just looking to earn like so many out there. 🫶🏼
The doctor is very friendly, she love animals and it s visible :-) I like it!!!!!!
Vet saved my hamster's life with an operation for pyometra and uterus removal (infected). Hamster had visible signs of infection (pus from genitals) and was swollen inside with fluid. Hamster was operated on, and was very lethargic after operation, but hamster pulled through and 3 days later she moves, eats and is her happy self, no more infection or bloating. She is a senior hamster so the operation was also higher risk, but all went well.
