We were there today for the first time with our young dogs. We were very impressed; the staff were friendly and extremely competent. We will definitely come back.

Small veterinary practice (2 doctors). Very competent and extremely friendly. They don't send you home in an emergency. Unfortunately, that happened to me at three other vets that day. TA Ruhrblick, on the other hand, helped my dog. They handled my dog so gently that he has no fear of the vet, even during follow-up treatments. Both doctors are highly recommended. All the assistants are friendly and helpful. I'm glad I found this veterinary practice.

Two months ago, we lost our cat; she wasn't even 11 years old. I'm finally getting around to leaving my review here. If you had asked me three years ago, I would have given this practice five stars. Unfortunately, I'm still shocked and heartbroken. We've always taken our two cats to this practice (ever since I moved to Mülheim). I don't want to go into detail about how often we visited from summer to autumn/winter 2025 to find out what was wrong with our cat, but rather focus on one specific day: November 10, 2025. We went there spontaneously in the late afternoon because our cat was getting worse despite the medication she'd been taking for some time. She was becoming lethargic and could barely stand. I stood desperately in the examination room and said to the vet, "Please tell me what's wrong with my cat, please take an X-ray!" Check the blood work again (which had already been done the week before) and everything seemed fine. My cat came back from the x-ray with a bleeding nose; she was just a miserable little thing. I just wanted someone to help her. I was afraid something serious was wrong with her. The vet's response: "There are shadows in her lungs, but we'd need to do an ultrasound. My colleague will do that tomorrow morning." They then gave the poor, weak cat an enema because she also had feces in her intestines on the x-ray?! We were told to come back the next day with our practically dying cat and go home. We were only there for 10 minutes, but it was immediately clear to us that we had to go to the animal hospital. There, they determined that the cat was suffering from acute anemia and probably wouldn't have survived the night. They should have been able to see that. On Tuesday afternoon, it was confirmed that the entire lung was tumorous and that nothing could be done for her. Acute pulmonary embolism. I have never felt as helpless as I did that Monday at Ruhrblick! A veterinarian should be able to recognize acute emergencies. We are still in shock. We will not be bringing our cat back; the trust is gone. A blood test or X-ray was never suggested proactively; we had to explicitly request everything. EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE BEEN UNDER TREATMENT FOR LUNG PROBLEMS SINCE THE SUMMER! What I did notice positively, however, were the veterinary assistants—all incredibly friendly and loving towards the animals!
