I felt very well cared for at the veterinary practice today. The way my cat Louis was handled was very loving and calm, which is very important to me. I especially appreciated the comprehensive and thorough examination, and the time they took for it. I'm very happy with the results. The entire team – both the veterinarian and the veterinary assistants – was very friendly and approachable. I was quickly informed about my pet's diagnosis and received clear, expert advice. All in all, I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend this practice. 🐈‍⬛ ♥️

I am very disappointed with my experience at this veterinary practice. My Pomeranian (1 year and 3 months old, approximately 3.3 kg) was brought in because he kept making a noticeable wheezing noise. At the first appointment, I expressed my suspicion of a tracheal collapse. However, this wasn't investigated further. Instead, I was told not to worry, that it was just a throat infection. My dog received medication, but without any advice that he should rest, even though he is a very young, active dog. About three to four weeks later, his condition deteriorated significantly. He developed a severe cold, and we brought him in again. A nasal swab was taken, and my dog was given an antibiotic injection, the effects of which, according to the vet, would last about 14 days. Four days later, I had a follow-up appointment. I was informed that no bacteria were found in the nasal swab. As a next step, an X-ray under anesthesia to rule out a foreign body and a blood test to rule out a metabolic disorder (e.g., diabetes) were recommended, since my dog had urinated in the waiting room. However, it wasn't considered that the increased urination might also be related to the antibiotics. Likewise, I wasn't informed that possible bacterial infections can also be located in the lower respiratory tract and therefore aren't necessarily detectable in a nasal swab. Finally, I sought a second opinion from another veterinarian. They now suspect a tracheal collapse, precisely the condition I had already mentioned at the first appointment. Further diagnostics and treatment are currently underway. I can't say whether this suspected diagnosis will ultimately be confirmed. Nevertheless, looking back, I wonder why my little dog received so many medications, his condition worsened despite this, and my initial suspicion wasn't investigated further. I would have liked a more thorough diagnosis, more information, and a more careful consideration of my observations as the owner.
