Twice and never again! I called Mr. Ochozinski with my terrified pet to get to the Berlin animal shelter. During the ride, current politics seemed to be more important. When his partner called, they discussed over speakerphone—and they were really LOUD!—when "darling" would be coming home. I recommend Taxi-Berlin 202020. Very, very kind and empathetic taxi drivers, excellent organization by the taxi company... And especially when it might be the last trip to the vet... Plus, it's much cheaper.
I'm very satisfied. I've had to travel from Lübbenau/Spreewald to Berlin twice to see the small animal specialists. It's a very long drive. Since no one else could drive me, I came across the pet taxi service. From the very first phone call, I felt incredibly well supported. Mr. Ochozinski immediately understood my situation and the anxiety that came with the appointments at the clinic. The trip was scheduled for Monday. He called again on Sunday and reassured me that everything would be fine on Monday. He also called again on Monday, just before he arrived. During the drive, he was always concerned about my cat and her well-being. Even at the clinic, I felt cared for, as Mr. Ochozinski even intercepted a veterinarian while I was at reception to ask one of my questions. It was like having a dad with me! :) Even when an emergency patient arrived at the clinic and none of the staff could or wanted to help, he rushed over and helped carry the dog in. All in all, a very, very positive experience. Of course, the rides were expensive, but I knew that beforehand. There's simply no other way, and I'd rather pay more for someone who knows the highways and the best routes so we arrive on time despite traffic jams. I'll definitely use the pet taxi service again for my cat's future treatments (as far as transportation is concerned). I highly recommend it!
I can't give any points for quality. I didn't get a chance! I didn't receive a positive response or secure a booking from either company (Tierdroschke or Tiertaxi). However, even with a spontaneous inquiry, there's hardly any chance of getting help from "TierTaxi hilft" (Animal Taxi Helps). You're politely turned down with "...call somewhere else..." and: "It's too far to Steglitz, I'm located in Reinickendorf..."; or you get another suggestion, which is nice in principle. But this suggestion turns out to be "...why is he recommending me? I'm sick..." So, unfortunately, there aren't many options in Berlin in this, quote-speak, industry. Market gap? A tip for other, younger(!) people who are more flexible and feel confident enough to do this kind of work. ;)
Easygoing, animal-friendly, and able to handle even overly anxious owners. No rushing just because the animal might need more time. Everything was great, and they arrived home safely.
Mr. Ochozinski transported me and our cat 🐱 to our new home during our move. He was very punctual and considerate. He even helped with the luggage, which was quite heavy with a load of cat litter. All in all, a fantastic service that was absolutely worth the money. We would gladly use his services again if needed.
