Reviews
We brought our 8 months old kitten with sickness that we coulnd't identify. Dr. Benzel gave her a shot of antibiotics, and our kitten died a week later. We still brought our adult cat to her with ear infection. We ended up going there 3 times, because antibiotics didn't work, infection stayed. Each time people that examined our cat changed and asked, what did the previous team do. At the last visit they said, that antibiotics that will work exist only in form of pills, and since the cat won't take pills, they gradually manipulated us to come again and again, each visit costing 70-100 euros. Never again.
An exceptionally friendly and excellent veterinary practice. The team, and Ms. Benzel in particular, provided us with quick and competent assistance. Many thanks!
If there were more stars, I'd give more. Simply a top-notch vet. Competent, animal-loving, communicative, and so on. I could write a novel about it. But to put it simply: Absolutely fantastic! I wouldn't take our two cats to any other vet.
This was my third visit to this vet with my two rabbits, and each time I felt misunderstood, so I eventually switched vets. As soon as I asked any questions, she became unfriendly. The third time, I again had the feeling that she was more concerned about the money than my rabbit's recovery. According to her, the rabbit would die if I didn't have him put under anesthesia again within two days for x-rays, injections, and so on. However, since I also work in the medical field, I knew that the illness wasn't serious, or at least that this treatment was unnecessary. So I left and sought advice from other vets, who confirmed my suspicions that the illness would resolve itself and that such extensive testing had never been required. Three months later, the rabbit is completely healthy and alive again! The other rabbit had maggots in its stomach. When I found that out, I immediately called her to ask if she could help my rabbit. She said that if nothing was done that day, it would die, and yet I still had to beg her on the phone to please take care of it that day, because it was 20 minutes before closing time. In my opinion, veterinarians should prioritize the animals' well-being, not their opening hours. Unfortunately, I also find her prices to be abysmal.
I've been taking all our animals to Mrs. Benzel for years. She's always kind and friendly. Even the vet tech is always in a great mood. You and your little animal friends feel incredibly well cared for here :)
