First rate veterinary surgeon. My little French Bulldog (only three years old) had ongoing severe chronic inflammation in her ears. Veterinary treatment brought relief but it did not result in healing. During the last few months it got so bad one ear literally closed up with multiple pearl like tumours. My vet recommended Dr. Mario Sauer and he arranged for surgery within three weeks, explaining to me exactly that it was a surgery involving removing the ear canal and the middle ear along with the tumour, so complex in view of risks and very painful in the aftermath. So he made sure pain control was effective and antibiotic treatment suitable for the multi-resistant germ that developed after the previous antibiotic courses. Histology came back with excellent result, all margins clear and no malignancy. That was less than three weeks ago and Dr. Sauer arranged for a review twice since, listened to me re. treatment (as my little Frenchie has severe skin allergies and therefore I am keen on as few drugs as absolutely necessary and effective) and my little dog and I are very happy with the result! Can absolutely recommend Dr. Sauer, both in view of the quality of his surgical skill and his excellent aftercare.

We would recommend Dr. Sauer again and again and are incredibly grateful for the work he has already done for our dog! Our little Papillon, Gino (14 years old), has been through a difficult time, and thanks to Dr. Sauer, life is now worth living again for him. Shortly before Christmas, Gino had a tumor on his paw, which Dr. Sauer removed quickly and cleanly. Unfortunately, the next catastrophe followed shortly after in April. When our Gino had difficulty breathing, Dr. Sauer quickly diagnosed him with laryngeal paralysis. (An immediate diagnosis, which had previously been incorrectly diagnosed by other veterinarians.) The risks of the surgery were explained to us in detail, and of course, the complexity of the procedure was emphasized. Despite the high risk, the operation went very well; Gino's life was saved, and he now has a renewed quality of life and joy. We could always rely on Dr. Sauer when we had concerns after the surgery. On the recommendation of our veterinarian, we contacted Dr. Sauer, and we were able to discuss everything with him personally over the phone beforehand. The surgery was very complex (shortening the soft palate, removing the tonsils, and correcting nasal stenosis), so it took place in his own practice and went very well.
