Reviews
Annaberg Buchholz
The operation went very well. I don't understand why veterinary practices around Chemnitz keep sending patients to Leipzig or Dresden when a competent surgeon has established a practice in the Ore Mountains. We are very satisfied. We visited our veterinarian today to have the stitches removed after my cat's diaphragmatic hernia. We went to several practices in Chemnitz, all of which suspected a pleural effusion and wanted to drain it. Mr. Hoppe made his opinion clear right away during our initial phone call. After the consultation at the practice and the X-rays, it was clear it was a diaphragmatic hernia. Mr. Hoppe took the time to explain the operation and his procedure to me step by step. I have never received such thorough advice from a veterinarian before, without having to constantly ask questions. I wholeheartedly recommend going to him. The entire team is friendly, informative, and accommodating. The practice's layout after the renovation is truly excellent. We wish Mr. Hoppe all the best for his future endeavors and will definitely continue our surgical treatment at his new practice!
We have been taking various pets to this clinic for many years. Thankfully, it's been infrequent, but we always have complete confidence in them. Our anxious dog receives his annual vaccinations with great care and sensitivity. When our Maine Coon became very ill, Dr. Geisler made the correct diagnosis and prevented her premature death. Here, the animal's well-being is truly the priority. They even arranged for a home visit for euthanasia to minimize stress. Thank you so much for the consistently excellent care.
Five stars again today. A super friendly team. I've been a patient of Dr. Geissler's for almost 15 years now; there have been some very sad visits, but I've always felt my animals were in good hands. What has been built here in recent years deserves the utmost respect. Greetings from Molly and Eddie
We took our cat for a CT scan on September 12th and have unfortunately been waiting for the detailed report ever since. We received a three-line summary after repeated inquiries from our regular vet and finally from me. This is very disappointing because it's crucial for further treatment, as our vet doesn't see the diagnoses described, and it would deter me from going back to the practice. On a positive note, the friendliness of the team and Dr. Geisler deserves mention. Update January 8, 2026: After a thorough and very respectful phone call, they actively tried to address the problems and find solutions, which were then implemented directly and effectively. Mistakes can happen – what matters is how they are handled. In this case, they took responsibility and sought dialogue, which I greatly appreciate. I have immense respect for this and am adjusting my rating accordingly.
