Baumholder vet clinic

If I could rate this clinic lower I would Look at the dates on the reviews. The clinic has a fantastic rate but there has only been one review in seven months and rest are from a year or more ago. I feel that this used to be a fantastic clinic. I base this on experience with taking my pets there between 2014-2019. I PCSed out and luckily PCSed back. It’s time to leave again so I called to inquire about a USDA Health Certificate. In my opinion the OIC is not interested in seeing patients and is disrespectful. I say this because of the line of irrelevant questioning I got for just asking that question. They also have conflicting hours on the answering machine, website, and in conversation. Their website also states they are closed every day of the year. In my opinion, If you want to be disregarded and you need to be abused ask to speak to the OIC.

My pupper has astonishing vet anxiety/fear. This team is wonderfully conscientious of his (our) needs and helped him get a year of care completed in one visit. Highly recommend Baumholder vet clinic and the team there. Call around the 15th of the month to get on the next month's schedule. This is not an emergency facility.

At our first visit to this clinic, my dog and I waited fifteen minutes to get into the examination room and then another fifteen minutes at least after the appointment while the staff drew up the paperwork. Not a huge deal, but the appointment did take much longer than I'd expected based on my experiences with other vets. Our second appointment was a simple immunization booster, which I was told was scheduled for 11:15. At 11:10 they called and told me they'd have to reschedule for next week because my appointment was at 11:00. I told them I was nearly there and asked them to wait. They refused on the grounds that they only schedule 15 minutes for a booster appointment. Based on the reviews it seems like many people have had a positive experience with this vet clinic. My experience is that they don't respect your time and WILL NOT work with you if there was a miscommunication - even if it was their fault.

My dog and I love the staff here!! Our go to vet as long as we can get an appointment at an appropriate amount of time, they do book up appointments pretty fast which I understand and what do you expect being a smaller vet on a military base. I have had issues with one receptionist there not ever speaking up and barely ever being able to hear her even in person but besides that we’ve had great experiences with the staff here.

The staff is friendly and attentive. We were in the waiting room when another dog was coming out from an examination room. To make sure 1our kitty, felt safe the staff closed off the doors so the pets wouldn't see each other. The examination was thorough and our concerns were listened to.
