Dipl.Med.Vet. Ute Butryn

I called the practice because of an emergency, as it was registered for emergency services in Magdeburg. I was initially subjected to a ten-minute lecture from the gentleman on the phone, explaining why we weren't registered with "his" practice and preferring a different veterinarian. We should either go to him or have our treatment done in this catchment area. Even after repeated reminders, he didn't seem to understand that this was an emergency.

Our cat came home a few weeks ago bitten and bleeding. Naturally, we called the veterinary clinic we've been going to for four years. They told us they couldn't treat our cat because they were fully booked. We received the same answer from other clinics. Only Dr. Butryn said, "Come in." We hadn't read any reviews of this clinic beforehand. We had a very casual chat with the receptionist, Dr. Butryn. Dr. Butryn took excellent care of our cat. Next time, we'll only go there if they accept us.

We went to the practice today due to an emergency, as they were on call. Contrary to many of the reviews here, we found Mr. Butryn to be very friendly. The doctor was very competent and impressed us with her professional expertise. We felt very well cared for. I think you just need a certain sense of humor and a lighthearted attitude to deal with her husband… 😅 The price for the treatment was more than reasonable, despite it being an emergency.

I'd give them negative stars if I could 😡 I called the emergency service. As has been mentioned dozens of times in other reviews, I also had an incredibly rude man on the phone. Absolutely appalling! He felt the need to vent his entire frustration on me! He'd been awake and sick for so long, what a nerve it was to call at this hour, and this went on for 10 minutes straight! It was well past midnight, and if I came in, I'd definitely have to pay four times the standard rate and bring plenty of cash. Sorry, but how can someone in this profession be so greedy and unempathetic! This man is definitely damaging the reputation of his wife's practice! I've never experienced anything like it!
