Dr. Johannes Gürtler

Unfortunately, I now have to make a negative post here. The story: We took our cat to Dr. Gürtler because he had what we thought was an injured eye. Dr. Gürtler examined our cat and thought it was more likely an inflammation, so he gave us cortisone eye drops. After about two weeks, there was still no significant improvement, and he gave us a cortisone ointment. After that, it seemed to get a little better. Recently, we switched vets, and this new vet performed a fluorescein test with dye and UV light to detect a defect. It turned out that he had a rather deep cut on the lens, and the cortisone had actually worsened it and prevented it from healing. If my cat suffers permanent damage as a result of this misdiagnosis, I reserve the right to take legal action... so unfortunately, we had to take our cat to Dr. Stief's veterinary clinic in Mühlhausen, where, due to the incorrect treatment, our cat had to undergo surgery; he needed a new lens. Picture 1 is the day of the surgery and the second picture is now 4 weeks after the surgery.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We take our dog Shiva to Dr. Gürtler and his entire practice team for treatment and feel completely at ease there. Even upon entering the practice, you notice the friendly, calm, and welcoming atmosphere. Shiva genuinely enjoys going there – that speaks volumes. The way they handle the animals is loving, patient, and professional. Dr. Gürtler impresses with his high level of expertise, takes the time for thorough explanations, and provides clear and honest advice. Whether it's about health, food, weight, preventative care, or even training tips – you always receive comprehensive and well-founded advice. You feel taken seriously and well-informed. The entire team is also consistently friendly, helpful, and organized. Appointments are kept reliably, waiting times are short, and the procedures are well-structured. The fair and transparent pricing is also particularly noteworthy. The costs are absolutely reasonable and easy to understand. We highly recommend Dr. We wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Gürtler and his team and are very grateful to have such a competent and dedicated veterinary practice by our side. A very friendly doctor and a great team. We've been taking our dog to Dr. Gürtler for nine years and have nothing but positive things to say. Even with our second dog, who already had surgery with Dr. Gürtler, everything went perfectly! We are absolutely satisfied!

A competent veterinarian who doesn't care about the wallet, but rather about the well-being of the animal. The vet's prices are more than fair! And he's available outside of office hours, and he's there to help! If there were 6 stars, I'd give it 6 👍🏼 The only downside: no card payments, but you can get used to that 😉
