Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how sick an animal is; if you're not already a patient, you won't be treated. I was turned away with the suggestion that I could try other vets. Sorry, I know that already. It would have been different if I had gone to the emergency service there; they would have treated me for three times the regular price. My previous vet has unfortunately retired. Poor Germany.

One star is too much. Absolutely not recommended! On the night of May 18th to 19th, 2026, I contacted this veterinary practice by phone in an acute, life-threatening emergency with my cat. My cat could no longer walk, kept tipping over, was extremely weak, and her condition was deteriorating rapidly. I explicitly stated that it was an absolute emergency and that this practice was the only one in my area that was even reachable. Despite this, I was told I couldn't come and should either go to Stuttgart or wait. Out of sheer desperation, I even contacted the police because I didn't know how to help my pet in this situation. Finally, I found another practice and drove there with my cat for about 45 minutes. She was examined immediately. The attending veterinarian explained that her condition was already so critical that she had to be euthanized and would likely have suffocated that same night otherwise. Even the attending veterinarian, after I described the situation, couldn't understand why my cat was turned away in her condition, as it was clearly an absolute emergency from his perspective. What I find particularly incomprehensible is that this wasn't a matter of hours of travel, but rather a distance from Spaichingen to Rottweil, which, in my opinion, would have been perfectly reasonable in an acute emergency. I understand that veterinary practices have their limits. But turning away an animal in a clearly described life-threatening emergency, when they are the only available option, strikes me as deeply unprofessional and deeply disturbing. In hindsight, I'm grateful that my cat didn't have to be treated at this practice, which handles emergencies in this way. After this experience, I personally would not recommend that anyone rely on this practice in an acute emergency.

I can highly recommend Dr. Bergmann and his team to anyone, whether for general care or in an emergency. You are always taken seriously, and in an emergency, like with one of our cats, help was provided immediately, and we were able to get an appointment very quickly. The practice is always very accommodating and polite, and you are always given thorough explanations. The prices are also perfectly reasonable. I entrust all my cats to Dr. Bergmann and his team and have never had a bad experience. Thank you for everything.

I can highly recommend Dr. Bergmann and his team. We used to take our family dog ​​to him for years and were always satisfied. Now I have two cats, and they've also been his patients for four years. No matter what my concerns or issues are, I always feel taken seriously and receive excellent advice.
