Reviews
I visited this practice with my dogs today for the first time and I'm shocked by the tone and behavior. Even during the treatment, the vet seemed very rough with the dogs. She wasn't at all empathetic or caring. My puppies are traumatized by this visit. I found the vet's assistant unfriendly from the start, but I didn't comment on it at first. Before I even went in, I was told my appointment was at 4 p.m., even though I had scheduled it for 11 a.m. The fact that the vet's assistant already seemed annoyed only made the unpleasant impression worse. The fact that I was eventually allowed in early anyway was initially a positive. When I was later told the amount, I asked if it was possible to pay by invoice, as I needed to cancel my card. I was then loudly and verbally abused in front of other customers. I asked the assistant to moderate her tone – she then became even more rude and claimed to be a very friendly person, but she didn't stop arguing, continuing instead of simply handing over the bill. I understand that caution is advised with new patients, but a matter-of-fact tone would have been perfectly sufficient here – this behavior was disrespectful and completely inappropriate. Later, when I was referred to the vet because of a missing medication, I was also spoken to loudly and aggressively. I found the comment, "You're a new patient and your card has been blocked. That's strange! Well, I hope you pay." particularly unprofessional. It is completely inappropriate to accuse me of unwillingness to pay because of my personal situation. I was also accused of insulting the assistant. I've never experienced anything like that at a veterinary practice! I would also like to inform the practice: This behavior has caused them to lose two customers: me as a new customer and the regular customer who had recommended the practice. A little tip for the practice: Friendly and respectful treatment costs nothing and is the very least patients can expect. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this practice!
Dr. Heinrichs and her veterinary assistant have been caring for us for over 25 years! At all times and with each of our animals (dogs), we always feel perfectly treated, advised, and cared for! The individualized care, treatment, and advice are professional, empathetic, friendly, reliable, and extremely competent from start to finish! The feeling of excellent care begins with the appointment scheduling and continues upon entering the practice. No matter what concern or problem you come with, this practice provides competent assistance to both the animal and its owner. We are now happy to travel almost 100 km (one way) because Dr. Heinrichs and her team are more than worth the effort for us and our animal! We made our next appointment at this practice today!
I brought my cat to this practice and was truly shocked. The receptionist was very unfriendly. Unfortunately, the veterinarian herself was very rude to my cat, leaving her completely frightened and traumatized. As a pet owner, I expect sensitive and respectful treatment of animals—that's exactly what I didn't experience here. Therefore, I cannot recommend this practice.
My high level of satisfaction with Dr. Heinrichs and her staff is evident in the fact that I've been taking my animals to her for over 25 years. Yesterday, I had to take my almost 18-year-old Yorkshire Terrier to the practice because he was suffering from severe bladder problems, and given his age, I feared the worst. Dr. Heinrichs was on vacation, and there was "only" a substitute vet. To my great surprise, the substitute was Dr. Heinrichs' daughter. What can I say? The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. She handled my dog with such competence, kindness, and empathy. I'm talking about a dog who weighs only 5 kg but develops tremendous strength when he's at the vet. What I found particularly impressive was that the young Dr. Heinrichs, taking his age into account, first suggested a gentle treatment with an anti-inflammatory, saying that if that didn't help, they could still do the full range of tests (X-rays, blood work, etc.). And what can I say, the little one is already feeling much better. Five stars for this treatment 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and a thumbs up 👍.
Dr. Heinrichs takes her time with her animal patients and provides excellent explanations. I've been very satisfied with her practice since I started.
