I took my almost 14-year-old dog to Dr. Zahner for a pre-operative examination. During the initial consultation, I told Dr. Zahner that my dog ​​had been left alone in the recovery room for several hours without any supervision after another surgery years ago. This caused her severe trauma, which we had to deal with daily for years. We couldn't leave our dog alone anymore. This led to many personal difficulties, requiring us to meticulously plan every single step of our daily lives, deciding who went where, until we finally managed to leave her alone. Three years of hard, daily work. We asked to be present during the anesthesia and also during the recovery phase, so that we could care for our dog and avoid ending up in the same situation. This was discussed at length and promised. On the actual day of the surgery, everything was different. I was allowed to be present during the induction of the anesthesia. That was it. After that, I wasn't allowed near my dog ​​for hours. I was told I would be called when my dog ​​was stable and able to walk again. I stood outside the clinic for hours and was repeatedly turned away. I wanted to be with my dog. They wouldn't let me see her as agreed. Instead, the vet (not Dr. Zahner) berated me with excessive arrogance and condescension, which was completely unacceptable. I can only say this very clearly: Never again at this clinic. The surgery itself might be excellent, but everything else, especially the vet, is absolutely terrible. The veterinary assistants are all very nice, but they're always at the vet's beck and call whenever she comes around the corner. My dog ​​can't be alone since the surgery. She suffers from constant stress, trembling, panting, and separation anxiety. My/our daily life is completely disrupted by this practice, which didn't address our problem despite prior arrangements. ‼️‼️Not recommended ‼️‼️.

Our cat Romeo broke a tooth while playing. As new patients, we were able to visit Dr. Zahner's veterinary practice and received a very quick appointment after our first phone call. There was also no long wait at the practice itself, which we found very pleasant. The tooth was thoroughly examined, and all treatment options were explained to us clearly and patiently. We were particularly pleased that the option of a filling was also discussed. We always felt that decisions were being made individually and with the animal's best interests in mind. The initial examination was performed by Dr. Goldner-Peters. She is a very friendly, empathetic, and highly competent veterinarian who takes her time and explains everything clearly. Romeo was examined calmly and carefully, which made us, as pet owners, feel very well cared for. The surgery appointment was scheduled promptly. On the day of the surgery, we were personally informed by phone about the chosen method. This open communication gave us a great deal of peace of mind and demonstrates the responsible approach taken at this practice. Overall, we felt taken seriously and well cared for throughout the entire treatment. Especially when you're worried as a pet owner, this level of trust, transparency, and friendliness is incredibly important. In conclusion: A highly competent and compassionate veterinary practice with excellent organization and clear communication. We wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Zahner's practice and especially Dr. Goldner-Peters. The veterinary assistants are also very professional, and we thank them for the excellent care they provided for our cat, Romeo. ❤️

Harley came through his dental surgery wonderfully – we are so grateful for the excellent care! Thorough consultations were held both before and after the procedure, and no question was left unanswered. We brought our cat here because he'd had a bad dental surgery at a veterinary clinic. His mouth was severely inflamed, his tooth roots were exposed, and he was in a lot of pain. His blood work was really bad! Dr. Zahner gave us a very quick emergency appointment to have his teeth checked. Because of the severe inflammation, we were able to schedule surgery very quickly. We were also given a thorough explanation. The team was very friendly and helpful, the practice was very clean and modern, and Dr. Zahner definitely knows what he's doing! Incompetent veterinary practice that was only interested in making money. They claimed a friend's cat had a rotten tooth that needed to be removed under general anesthesia! They suggested further work might be necessary, as the situation could be worse, and that surgery could cost around €2000. I went to another veterinary practice and paid just over €200. It turned out to be only tartar, and the tooth had just a broken tip, nothing more! The tooth itself was perfectly healthy!
