Reviews
A vet with a heart of gold ❤️ I'm not the type of person who leaves online reviews; in fact, I almost never do! But the entire team, who have been with us through thick and thin with our animals since 1999, deserves an unspeakable "thank you." Most recently, we took our Labrador, Matthes, to this practice—he absolutely loved it, along with all the staff and the best vet in the world. We were always treated with such kindness and care. Every vet visit was a joy and brought a smile to everyone's face—Mathes was probably the only patient who even jogged (during the pandemic) from the trunk of the car to the examination table all by himself. Nevertheless, there are also quite a few serious days, filled with anxiety, waiting anxiously for the results, and right up to the final farewell. Nevertheless, there are also quite a few difficult days, filled with fear, waiting anxiously for the results, and finally, the last moments of saying goodbye. ' ... Even during those difficult times, this veterinarian was always there for us with absolute honesty and so much empathy and heart, ensuring we could always provide excellent care for our palliative care patient. The reassurance that we weren't alone gave us, as a family, so much support and strength. Thank you! We especially want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the peace, time, and supportive environment that Dr. Matthi provided during his final hours. As emotionally devastating as that moment was, we are incredibly grateful for the compassionate, consistently honest, and professional care she provided at every stage of our beloved pet's life.

We are very happy with our new veterinarian. She answers all questions clearly, takes her time, and also tells us when something isn't absolutely necessary. Our dachshund Hermine handled her vaccination well today. We feel very comfortable at the practice.
Dr. Scholkmann saved my Rottweiler's life with an IV infusion. I had diagnosed him with all the symptoms of a stroke. I called – she asked me to come immediately. She was incredibly friendly and very kind. Her expertise makes her highly recommendable. Five thumbs up!
I was not at all satisfied. The people there are nice, but they simply lack professional expertise. The vet didn't know the dog breed, nor did I get the feeling that she really wanted to help us. Instead of help, there were many excuses about why it would be expensive and that other specialists might be able to help more. The treatment only started after we asked several times. On top of that, we paid almost €50 for a basic examination, and then another €39 was added on top for looking at the paws, disguised as a skin examination. Apparently, we would have to pay over €1000 to find the problem with our dog... when another vet was able to diagnose the illness for €230. Please get a second opinion. We won't be coming back; there are better vets in Velbert for your pets.
