Reviews
Super Team
Absolutely not recommended. They're just trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of a sick dog. My dog would have been almost 11 years old; the breed has a life expectancy of 12 years. Before I even got in, my dog had to suffer in pain for an hour in the waiting area. Then they tried to sell me three surgeries at €1200 each for an old and seriously ill dog. From a human perspective, it was an absolute disaster. Any normal vet would have treated the dog the same way. Update from December 11, 2025: The owner tried to threaten me on the phone, telling me to delete the review immediately. Since I documented everything with photos, I will be taking this case to the press. I'm not the only one Mr. Ranck has ripped people off. They killed my dog because they didn't act in time.
We were referred to another veterinary practice for a cardiac ultrasound with our cat, but thanks to a recommendation, we were able to get an appointment here very quickly. It's particularly worth mentioning that Dr. Ranck Senior himself took on our case and dedicated a great deal of time to the examination. He calmly and clearly demonstrated and explained everything to us. Our cat was diagnosed with a serious heart condition, and after adjusting various medications and several follow-up appointments, he now seems to be responding quite well to the treatment. He is doing well, all things considered, and we hope we can enjoy the remaining time we have with him. It was also wonderful that Dr. Ranck even called personally a few days after the initial appointment to check on our cat's well-being. Even on December 24th, when our cat's condition suddenly worsened, I was able to contact him by phone – something that's truly not a given these days. We were in no way pressured to continue treatment at the practice. The diagnosis was forwarded to our regular veterinarian, so due to the greater distance, we weren't obligated to continue coming. Nevertheless, we made a conscious decision to continue treatment at this practice. Here you still find truly warm and dedicated veterinarians with a great deal of empathy for both animals and their owners; here, the focus is still on helping the animal, which is sadly rare these days. Thank you so much for the excellent care!
Absolutely top-notch from consultation to treatment. Very empathetic with patients and their owners, they listen and take you seriously, which is very rare these days. You helped our old dog so much, and thanks to you, he had some more time with us :) Keep up the good work! A small addendum: The negative comments in some reviews are absolutely unjustified and mostly come from those who haven't done anything for their animals for years and then expect veterinarians to fix everything, preferably for free 🙄 We also had surgery done and would have liked more time, but... unfortunately, we had to let our beloved pet go. Despite all our efforts, something was slumbering inside him that sapped his strength, and with heavy hearts, we made this decision to spare him further suffering. No one can be blamed for that; it's simply sometimes impossible to predict how an animal will cope afterward or what might happen next. But even on his final journey, the practice accompanied us lovingly and, above all, with great empathy. A huge thank you again for that! ... Alfred is grateful for your efforts and the gentle transition without pain or suffering! Keep up the good work; the animals and their owners thank you!
I'm always very satisfied. The team consists of several doctors and nurses who clearly coordinate with each other. During my dog's ultrasound (he has a history of cancer, etc.), several doctors even looked at the monitor at once. Carlos receives age-appropriate treatment (he'll be 14 in a few weeks), and everything is done as stress-free as possible. Here, it's definitely not just about the money, but about the animal. My dog has been treated here over the past few years for tumors/cancer, dental work, a slipped disc, and stomach problems. He still enjoys coming to the practice.
