Reviews
I want to share my experience so other pet owners are warned. My cat, Bo Luo, was brought here for a routine spaying. No diagnostics: No blood tests or heart check were performed before the surgery. The vet only briefly listened to her heart. There was no consultation about risks or anesthesia options. Information flow: After my cat died during the procedure, I wasn't informed until two hours later. Situation on site: I arrived at the clinic with my cat wearing a cone, unaware that she had already passed away. Basic medical care and timely communication were lacking. Before performing any surgical procedures, the professional standards of a licensed veterinarian (such as thorough pre-operative examinations) should be strictly adhered to.
My cat was taken to this practice for spaying and sadly died after the procedure. As far as I could tell, the only thing performed before the operation was auscultation with a stethoscope. Further diagnostic tests, such as blood tests, X-rays, or ultrasound, were neither offered nor performed, even though she was a purebred cat with known genetic risks. Throughout the entire process, I felt I was not given any opportunity to decide on further pre-operative examinations or to choose between different options. Furthermore, I was only informed by phone approximately two hours after her death. In the follow-up conversation, epilepsy was mentioned as a possible explanation, while it was also pointed out that the exact cause would remain unclear without an autopsy. The loss is extremely painful, as this animal held a very special emotional significance for me and was my closest companion during my studies in Germany. From my personal perspective, a more comprehensive pre-operative assessment would have been desirable. This experience is very sad and distressing.
"I took my cat Boluo here for spaying, and unfortunately, she died after the procedure. My biggest criticism is the inadequate pre-operative examination: only auscultation (stethoscope) was performed. For a purebred cat with a known genetic risk, neither blood tests, X-rays, nor ultrasound were offered or performed to minimize the anesthetic risk. The vet subsequently suspected epilepsy but admitted that the exact cause remains unclear without an autopsy. Anyone considering having their pet operated on here should be aware that the pre-operative diagnostics are extremely superficial. A tragic loss that perhaps could have been prevented with more careful preparation. Be careful."
