A fantastic vet who has looked after us and our three dogs wonderfully for years. After moving from Nellingen, the quality is unfortunately no longer what it once was. If you have been a customer for over ten years and are referred to the animal clinic in Esslingen in an emergency with the statement: we were on emergency duty until 10 p.m. yesterday, you should just leave us alone! This was the statement of a veterinary assistant on the phone and not the statement of Dr. Götz. My opinion: a doctor's practice stands or dies with the veterinary assistants who "manage" the patients. The "nice" lady will also be happy that we are looking for a new vet. We don't want to be responsible for her having to work.
Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. I recently adopted an 8-month-old cat who had already been treated twice at this veterinary practice. Since the previous owner recommended this practice, I wanted to make an appointment. On the phone, I was initially told that they weren't currently accepting new patients. However, since my cat was already a patient, the staff member said she would check with them. I was then informed that they still couldn't take her on because she had "only" been there twice. This explanation is completely incomprehensible to me. Firstly, my cat is only 8 months old – how often could such a young animal have already been to the vet? Secondly, I was essentially told that she had "only" been there twice, so apparently not often enough. This seems contradictory: On the one hand, she doesn't seem to have been there often enough to be considered an existing patient, but on the other hand, she also obviously wasn't there frequently enough to create any additional workload. ... Furthermore, the previous owner is no longer listed as the keeper, so in effect it's simply a change of ownership and no additional patient is being added. I would have appreciated a comprehensible and transparent explanation here. As it stands, it unfortunately leaves a very unclear impression.
