Reviews
I am very happy to be able to entrust my dog to Dr. Wingold and his team. He is a very thorough and competent veterinarian who always takes the time to address my dog's individual needs. The entire practice staff is also always very polite and courteous. The clinic has state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and offers excellent treatment, even for very complex cases. Dr. Wingold comes highly recommended!
We've been taking our two cats to the veterinary clinic for quite some time now. Unfortunately, both require constant medical care. We're extremely happy with Dr. Wingold. He's always able to get us an appointment at short notice, and there's rarely a long wait. We feel comfortable there; he listens attentively and understands our needs. The entire practice team is also very empathetic and tries their best to accommodate us. Thank you again for that! So why not five stars? There are other veterinarians at the clinic whose competence I can't comment on. Perhaps my experience with some of them doesn't match theirs.
Many thanks to Dr. Wingold, for the prompt, expert, successful, and empathetic initial treatment. Thank you. Lommel from Suhl
Since there are two profiles of this veterinarian on Google, I'd like to share my experience with Dr. Wingold at his veterinary clinic here as well. One star for being open on Sundays – we were greeted warmly on the phone and informed about the higher Sunday fees. Upon arrival, we had to re-enter our information, which had already been requested on the phone. We quickly noticed that the receptionist was completely unmotivated to work. Once in the examination room, we explained our cat's medical history, including her chronic illnesses, which are well-managed with treatment. The vet refused to believe us, treated us like fools, and ordered a comprehensive blood test. We suggested that our cat might be suffering from gastritis, as she always gets it around this time of year. The vet didn't pursue this at all and made insensitive jokes. Our cat was terribly distressed during the blood draw, as neither the vet nor the receptionist could manage to calm and restrain her. Amateurs are at work here. We had to participate ourselves, and due to the lack of proper preparation, we even had to fetch things from the cupboard for the vet. The blood work was perfectly normal. Our comment that we had already mentioned the chronic conditions were being well treated was ignored by the vet. He then explained that he needed to conduct further (expensive) tests, gave us two small remedies for the symptoms, and sent us home without a diagnosis, referring us to our regular vet. In the end, we left with almost €500. In the letter to our regular vet, an MRI was recommended. After consulting with our regular vet, it turned out our cat was suffering from gastritis. This is exactly what we had suspected to the vet, but he didn't investigate it further. All in all, we paid approximately €300 for services that wouldn't have been necessary if the vet had listened and actually examined the animal properly. We absolutely cannot recommend this veterinary clinic. The animal's well-being is clearly not their priority. Dr. Wingold's sole aim is to sell the most expensive treatment methods possible (comprehensive blood test, MRI), which would not have been necessary with a thorough examination.
A very nice and empathetic veterinarian!
